OK, it's time for a "Just Because" card and this is another Teddy Bo image, if you've been following my blog recently you'll know how much I love these images!
This one is a Valentines image but I think it works just as well for a Birthday Card too.
I love the blue and brown color combination, it lends itself so well towards the Vintage/Shabby Chic style and I'm really enjoying creating in that style at the moment.
Tomorrows project is also in this style so if you like it be sure to come back.
Also maybe now is the time to add yourself as a follower as I have just passed 90000 hits and am approaching 400 followers so it could be time for some blog candy!
Card Recipe:
Image - Love Letter Teddy Bea
Medium - Copic Markers
Paper - K and Co Wild Saffron
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Embossing Folder - Sizzix
Ribbon and Lace - Unknown
Buttons - Unknown
I printed and colored 3 copies of the image and decoupaged the finished piece to give lots of definition. I distressed the edges of the mats and added chalk ink to enhance it even more. I even inked the antique style lace to add to the shabby chic style. Although this is a "cute" image I do think that it lends itself to the vintage feel that is so popular right now.
I absolutely love this line of images of can't wait to see all the new ones they keep coming out with.
If you like this card be sure to check back on Wednesday for another Teddy Bo card :)
Today I want to share a mini album I made.
Before I made cards I was a scrapbooker and have over 20 completed albums made over the years.
But I also liked to dabble in mini albums and altering items and I think that is where the transition into card making started.
Every now and again I like to take a break from cards and go back to playing with books :)
This is one I made this week.
As it has a lot in it there will be many photos but I hope you like it.
Also because of all the work I thought I'd enter it in a few challenges too ;)

It's time for another challenge at A Spoon Full Of Sugar and this week we are giving you a theme challenge!
It's one type of card that we all need many times a year and so this week we want to see "Birthday Cards!"
They can be cute and funny for children, soft and romantic for a lady or anything you want!
I used another image from the Help for Katie pack #1, did you see they had a new one come out this past Sunday? Katie and her family are still fighting though this awful cancer diagnosis so if you can please drop by The Help For Katie Blog and have a look what her friends are doing for her.
This is a great card, suitable for lots of people and who doesn't need to add to their stash of birthday cards, I know I'm always in need of an unexpected card :)
So grab your crafting stuff and come along and play with us at A Spoon Full Of Sugar.
I love the challenges over at My Partner In My Crafting Crime and so when Robin asked me to be a guest I jumped at the chance! The ladies there have started a new venture, branching into the world of digital stamps with a company called Bows and Berries, and they sent me one to play with for this card.
I printed and color 3 of the babies and then cut and layered them for extra dimension.
I seem to be making quite a few baby cards lately, I better find homes for them all!
Thanks for looking.
Katie
This week at Pile It On we have a theme challenge for you.
We want you to create a card or project about Childhood Dreams. They can be good dreams or bad dreams (a little scary maybe!). Think of those things you imagine your child is dreaming of when they close their eyes to sleep.
We hope you have fun with it.
Card Recipe:

Paper - Chloe's Closet Specialty by Making Memories (on clearance at Michaels right now!)

What little girl doesn't dream of being a Princess and wearing pearls and a tiara?
And if not a Princess then she certainly dreams of fancy dolls and dressing up!
We'd love to see your take on our challenge over at Pile It On this week :)

It's been two weeks since the blog hop and now it's time for a new challenge at A Gem Of A Challenge!
This time we are on a B theme and would like to see Buttons, Brads, Beads and Bows!
You can use 1, 2, 3 or even all 4 to add to your project!
I added another B to my theme and made a Boy card, something a lot of us seem to struggle with. But with Janet's great boy images, such as the Andy collection of stamps, it so easy to make a great card!
Card Recipe:
Image - Skateboard Andy
Paper - Slugs and Snails Digital Papers
Medium - Copic Markers
Border Punch - Halloween Fence by Martha Stewart
Buttons and Brads - Spare Parts
Sticker Sentiment - The Paper Studio
Embossing Folder - Tim Holtz for Sizzix
The border punch I used is actually a Halloween one, all I did was snip off the bat wings to make it work for other times of the year.
I really love how this turned out and hope you like it too :)

Happy Friday Everyone!
It's time for a lovely easel card featuring one of Faith's latest releases Spring Greetings.
This little scene of the chick and his Easter basket was so much fun that I printed it large (gotta love that about digital stamps) and had a lot of fun coloring it.
This is so adorable and perfect for Easter, Spring, Birthday, Mothers Day even a New Baby card.
I hope it brings a little sunshine into your life today.
And finally this card is for sale and you can find it on EBAY as well as many More Of My Cards

It's Wednesday so it means another challenge at The Pixie Cottage!
As always we have 2 parts to the challenge and you can choose either or both to play along with.
We have a fabulous sketch and our theme this week is "Embossing" so it's time to get out those embossing folders, light-boxes and stylus's or your powders and heat guns!
This was the sketch although I left off the ribbon across the center as there was no room.
I paper pieced the wrapper on the cupcake from coordinating paper and inked all the papers for a softer feel.
The back diamond mat is embossed and ink added for more definition but you can't see too much of it.
I like making baby cards, I think I need to find a pregnant friend to give it to! LOL
It's a new challenge at my Cooking It Up With Katie
This week were are sponsored by the super Stamping Dragon who provided us with gorgeous images to play with!
The ingredients this week are:
Use a little Blue
Add a few Buttons
Finish with some Bling
Rupert the Dragon just looks so forlorn looking out his window waiting for his love to come home, but I still think it is so cute! I hope you've enjoyed this card and maybe you'll drop by at Cooking It Up With Katie to play along too.
Remember we are still looking for new Team Member so check out all the details there.

It's Tuesday so that means another challenge at A Spoon Full Of Sugar
This week we want you to put your cards aside and show us another paper crafting skill. We know you have all the products but if you are like many other card makers it is hard to step out of that comfort zone, well today is the day!
I made a piece of home decor for Valentines Day and although that was yesterday I can assure you that this cutie is not going anyway soon!
I've had the giant clothespin for years, they were very popular "back in the day" and I still like them for a quirky piece of home decor.
The flowers are a mixture of punches, die cuts and rosette flowers (with punched edges for a much more frilly look).
I took the pin apart and painted it first and then added the paper on top. The flowers are on stems made of cardstock and then "arranged" and glued on to a piece of chipboard then fits just inside the closed part of the pin. This makes it so much easier to display as they flowers don't fall out of the bunch!
Anyway I hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day yesterday, keep the love in your heart!
And take a break for the norm and make something other than a card for us over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar
Katie
I couldn't share this one until today as it is actually my husbands Valentine cutie!
(that's why you don't see the inside of this one ;))
We may be English but now live in Texas and he knows I have a little penchant for a good "Cowboy Romance" book and so I thought I could be his Cowgirl for the day :)
Also this is my first Kenny K card, some of my favorite card makers use these super images but I've not played with one until this card.
