Card Recipe:
Paper and Sentiment - Mrs Claus Christmas Stack
Border and Corner Punch - Martha Stewart
Buttons - Stash
Ribbon - Michaels
This was an easy challenge for me as the super cute Mrs Claus Kitchen Stack had sentiments included so it was just a case of picking the sentiment, matching the paper and adding some embellishments! When it comes to Christmas Cards we often need to get them finished in a hurry and so being able to make the whole card from the same collection is a great time saver.
Happy Sunday morning!
It's time for another challenge at Pile It On and this one is super easy, we want to see something CUTE!
We are sponsored by Soft Pencil and their images and some of the cutest so it was really easy for our team to make some fabulous samples for you.
Today I will be sharing my project that was featured on the Scor-pal blog as part of this week's Scor-pal and Doodlebug blog week.
Of course, if you missed this project or any of the other great projects from the Scor-pal team you'll want to hop on over there and see what's been going on this week.
Be sure to leave comments on each post from this week for a chance to win some great prizes. Entry deadline in 8am Monday, July 30, so there's still time.
I loved the papers and embellishments so much in this set, they are bright and cheery and just perfect for Summer!
I decided to make 2 cards and an accordion fold mini scrapbook album
My first card is an offset gate fold. I started with a piece of cardstock 6" by 12" and scored along the long side at 4" and 10" and burnished the folds.
I decorated both the inside and out and added a piece of ribbon to act as a closure
I loved this half bracket journal box and I plan to add a sentiment to it when I decide what occasion I will use the card for.
My second card is an envelope style card. I started again with a 6" by 12" piece of cardstock and scored it on the long side at 3" and 9" and burnished the folds. The I trimmed the end panels on the diagonal so when the ends were folded together they formed an open V.
I decorated the front using a double row of punched grass to hold the front closed.
The insert was made from another of the journal boxes, this time a semi circle.
I added a decorated message mat to the back of the insert.
My final project is a mini scrapbook in an accordion fold style.
I started with 2 pieces of cardstock, each one 6" by 12".
I scored along the long side of each piece at 3 1/2". 7" and 10 1/2" and burnished the folds.
I attached both pieces together on the 1 1/2" overlap forming a 6 panel album.
I used a flower border punch to punch all the way along the top edge and accordion folded the album and decorated.
The front sides have a fence and grass border along the bottom edge.
The back of the panels was decorated too.
Now it is ready to add your photos to.
I have a few challenges I would like to enter: Anything Goes - Not a Square (accordion album) Papertake Weekly - Make Your Own (the rosette)
It's Thursday so that means so more great cards on the Digital Delights blog to brighten your day and get you in the mood for creating!
I decided to use the super sweet Hula Halina from the June release. She makes a great card image and I know I'm going to use her again on a scrapbook page about a recent Hawaiian night we went to.
I hope you are enjoying your Summer and still finding time to craft even with all those children around and under your feet!
We have another fabulous challenge for you at Magnolia-Licious and this time we have a gorgeous photo to inspire your creation.
Now if you've been a follower of my blog for a while you'll know that I absolutely love aqua and so this was a super easy project for me to start.
I loved the soft feel from the photo, all those pretty girls in tutu's and I tried to convey that in my card
I hope you like it and I really hope you will use this photo and come and share with us at Magnolia-Licious
Scor-pal and their designers are excited to announce that they are teaming up with Doodlebug for a fun and inspiring week on both the Scor-pal blog and the Doodlebug blog.

It's another challenge at Christmas Card Challenges and we would like to see you use the Emboss Resist Technique on your card!
Now I will admit that I didn't follow the challenge this week, not because I forgot but because I just couldn't get the technique to work for me. I threw away 4 tries before giving up. But remember that our challenge is optional, we really just want to help you on your quest to be ready with all your Christmas cards! (and that's why I just went ahead and did a card with a different technique :))
