Scor-Pal/Little Darlings Blog Hop

Welcome to the Scor-pal/Little Darlings blog hop! Today we are featuring some fun projects using the Scor-pal/Scor-buddy along with the newly released Fall/Halloween Little Darlings stamps. If you came here from Angie's blog then you are in the right spot. If not, you will want to start from the beginning at the Scor-pal blog so you don't miss any of today's projects. There will be some Little Darlings stamps given away by Love to Stamp and Scor-pal will be giving away a Scor-buddy to one person randomly chosen from all comments left. The more comments you leave the better your chances of winning. You can also increase your chances of winning a Scor-buddy in other ways as well so check out the Scor-pal blog for complete details.

For my project I decided to make a combination of a Halloween lantern and treat box!
It took a while to make but really is simply 2 4" square boxes on top of each other with a removable roof.

Project Recipe:
Image - Tricks or Treats by Little Darlings
Medium - Copic Markers
Paper - Jeepers Creepers
Border Punches - Drippy Goo and Spooky Fence by Martha Stewart
Dies - Spellbinders Labels 22
Ribbon - Michaels
Bats - Border Accents from K and Co
Twine - The Twinery
Vellum - Unknown

This little witch is so cute and so I couldn't make the house too spooky :)

The windows were cut with a spellbinders die and then backed with patterned vellum to allow the light from the flame less candle to show through.

The bats were cut from a border accent and then backed with black cardstock spritzed with Smooch Shimmer in Vanilla Sugar to give them some glimmer. They were then attached to the roof with bakers twine. I also created a chimney from a scored cylinder and added some batting to the top for smoke.

Around the back of the house there is a door to get at the goodies.

This is where you put the candy and you access it by taking of the lantern box top.

You remove the roof to add the flame less candle for light.

It is so hard to photograph it to show the flickering candle but you can see a little of the glow from behind the vellum.
I really hope you liked this one, it was fun to make (if a little exasperating while making the roof as I had no measurements so i had to wing it for a while :))
Be sure to leave a comment to be in with a chance of winning and your next hop stop is Ruby's blog.
