I hope you have been enjoying all your Christmas goodies and having fun with all your family and friends.
I recently got a super package from Michelle's Scrapbooking and I couldn't wait to start playing. I don't usually make New Years cards but as this Tilda is called Tilda with Winter Flower I thought I better use her on a Winter card :)
Now not only is this a super image to color but the aqua and white color combination is one of my favorites, it's bright and crisp and cheery.
I hope you liked it too and maybe you'll fit some crafty time in soon.

I'm sharing a last minute extra gift that I have made for my Nana. She is 95 and 4500 miles away from me but still in the forefront of my mind everyday.
This little envelope album is going to be filled with photos of her Great Grandchildren from this Christmas and will be winging its way to her next week as a little extra cheer for the New Year.

I decided to utilize the lovely family themed papers and accents of the Splendid paper line to make an envelope album for photos and a coordinating aperture card.
For the envelopes you start with a piece of cardstock 8" by 8 1/2".
On the 8" side score at 4", turn and score on the 8 1/2" side at 1" and 7 1/2".
Burnish all score lines and snip on the 4" score line up to the cross score line (1")
Fold one side of flaps in and secure (I would use Scor-Tape but I have run out and need to get some more)
Fold the other side flaps over and secure to make the open ended envelope.
To bind the envelopes together cut a piece of cardstock 6" by 1 1/2" and score at 3/4" on the short end.
Burnish the line.
Use the strip to connect the envelopes together at the closed end.
Decorate the envelopes as you wish.
For the cover cut a piece of patterned paper 6 1/2" by 9". On the long side score at 4" and 5".
Attach the cover with Scor-Tape.
Decorate as wished and I added a Belly Band with a matching rosette to hold the album closed.
This is how it looks closed.
I then created a very simple aperture card with a Spellbinders die used to cut the window in the card.
Decorate the card as desired.
View from the side.
The set together :)
Now this is a very versatile album, it would be a perfect gift for a scrapbooker to store photos in to take to a crop or for a new Mom wanting to carry lots of new baby photos in.
I hope you enjoyed it and be sure to leave me a comment to be in with a chance of winning and then hop over to Cristine's blog to see her superb project!
