The Pixie Cottage meets Cooking It Up With Katie!

The week I have a combo post, my project for The Pixie Cottage #115 is "Sweet Treat" which works fabulously with Cooking It Up With Katie #93 "Fold me a Fun Flower!"
I don't usually combine Design Team assignments but this time it just was meant to be!

Challenges:
Anything Goes - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Creative Craft - Anything But a Card
Creative Monday - Anything But A Card
Craft Us Crazy - Anything But a Card
Gingerloft - Anything But a Card
Totally Stampalicious - Anything But a Card
Kaboodle Doodles - Anything But a Rectangle

Cheery Lynn Designs - Make a Basket (use at least one of their dies)
Creative Stamp Friends - Easter Package

Crafty Sentiments - Bunnies
Stamptacular Sunday - Pastels
Sassy Cheryls - Pastels
Tuesday Throwdown - Pastels
Incy Wincy - Easter and/or Pastels
Top Tip Tuesday - Easter or Animals (I have both)
My Mums Craft Shop - Easter or Animals (I have both)
Everybody Art - Easter
My Craft Spot - Easter
Hooked on Craft - Easter
The Kraft Journal - Easter/Spring (using something made from Kraft colored paper)
Ribbon Carousel - Spring (with a spooled item)

Just a note to say I stopped adding the Easter challenges as there were so many to choose from that I tried to include all my favorites but the list was endless. Please don't feel left out if I didn't include you on this last Easter project of the year

Project Recipe:
Image - Got Rabbits by ARTish
Sentiment - Studio G
Paper - Watercolor Bouquet by K and Co
Medium - Copic Markers
Dies - Cuties 3 (to make the roses), Cuties 4 (for the handle) and Wedding Garter all by Cheery Lynn Designs
Ribbon - Michaels
Eggs - Craft Store painted with Martha Stewart Pearl Paint in Pink Taffeta

This is the sketch should you choose that.

I just love this Pearl Paint from Martha Stewart. The colors are fabulous and the sheen is the best I found.

I love how the roses look when completed, you die cut them as a strip and then roll and secure them to create the rose. I used a quilling pen to hold the end so I could get a tight roll and then added hot glue on the base and added a circle of cardstock for extra strength.
I decided at the end to weave some lemon sheer ribbon around the handle, I should have thought about that before adding the roses but will remember next time :)

You can see from this shot that I used the same weaving technique to create my basket as was in the Saturday tutorial, I just made my basket shallower.
Anyway I hope you enjoyed this little Easter Treat and will come along and play with me at The Pixie Cottage and Cooking It Up With Katie this time around!
Katie
