But I've had these vintage images for so long that I really needed to come out of my comfort zone and use them.
I love the challenges over at The Shabby Tearoom and the ladies there make the fabulous samples that I spend ages just looking and wanting to make things like they do. So when I have time to base a card around their theme I like to give it a go.
Challenges:
Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Freshly Brewed - Anything Goes (5 entries only)
Speedy The Fox - Vintage
The Shabby Tearoom - Pink, Aqua, Neutral, Flowers and Shabby
Bearly Mine - Bingo! (I chose Lace, Flowers and Pearls)
Crafts and Me - Pearls and Roses
Cheery Lynn Designs - Roses (and a CL die)
Everybody Art - Roses
Unstampabelles - Ribbon (and no stamping/digi stamping)
Card Recipe:
Image - Crafty Secrets Friends and Flowers Vintage Cuts
Paper - Summer Breeze by First Edition
Flowers - Prima
Lace and Ruffled Ribbon - Wrights
Pink Ribbon - Hobby Lobby
Felt Ribbon - Unknown
Butterflies - Prima
Pearls - The Paper Studio
Die Cut - Dainty Dutch Deco by Cheery Lynn Designs
So there is my version of a Shabby Chic style card, not as wonderful as many out there but I'm trying and it's always good to try new styles and techniques, it helps us grow as crafters
Have a wonderful weekend and be sure to drop back tomorrow for 2 new cards, one for Pile It On and another Christmas Card Challenges card :)
