Pixie Cottage Showcase

Hi and Happy Weekend!
It's time for another showcase at The Pixie Cottage and the Design Team have come up with some super ideas for the new stamps.
Stamps are arriving almost daily at Michelle's Scrapbooking so be sure to go over and check to see if your favorite is there.
This time the team could decide to use whichever theme they liked for their project but as I'm in the Holiday Mood I kept with the Christmas theme.
There are a few challenges this fits as well:
The Crafty Pad had a recipe of 1 circle, 2 ribbons, 3 papers, 4 gems and some sparkle
Corrosive Challenges wanted to see some Embossing
Little Paper Shop wanted a Die Cut and I used Spellbinders to make my hang tag
Colour Create had the combo of Green, Red and White with the option of Christmas
Whimsy Stamps wanted "Anything But A Card" and the same challenge was at Crafty Angels
Challenge Up Your Life wanted a Festive Box/Package
Die Cut Dreams want to see Santa!
Stamp With Fun had a Christmas theme
Creatalicious wanted "Something for Christmas and some Sparkle!"
2 Red Bananas had a sketch that worked for the front of my tin.
Kaboodle Doodles wanted Buttons, Bows and Bling
Creative Inspirations wants some "Sparkle"

This time I chose The Jolly Old Elf by Alisa Ramirez and he was so much fun to work with!
I decided not to make a card but instead did an altered lunchbox that could be used for all sorts of things at this time of year. You could leave cookies in it for Santa on Christmas Eve, save cards, notes, receipts etc in it or fill it with treats to give as a gift.
I colored him with Copic's and then gave him the "Puffy Paint Treatment" all over his "fluffy bits".

I covered the handle with fabulous Christmas ribbons (wired ones work best) and tied one in a bow right in the middle of the handle.

Here you can see a close of Santa in all his fluffy fineness! LOL

I added an embossed image as a "hangtag" and I love how the white core of the cardstock shows through on the image. It is mounted on an Inverted Scallop circle Nestie and also has star buttons on it's "tail".

On the lid I added a floral pick from last year, it's got fake candy on it too to add a sweet touch! When creating projects remember there are many places you can find things that may work for you.

I hope you've enjoyed my little project and be sure to check out all the fabulous work of the designers at The Pixie Cottage today!
