Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow! A Tilda Gift Bag

I sat last week and looked at my blog and realized it had quite a few days with nothing to show you and so I slipped in another project :)
This time I went with a one sheet bag like THESE ONES using my trusty Scor-Pal!
And my oldest son has been complaining that it doesn't get cold enough for snow here in North Texas and so I thought I'd create a few snowflakes of my own to go with the super sweet Winter Skates Tilda that was a special stamp last Winter.

Happy Thanksgiving Scor-Pal Tutorial

Welcome to my latest tutorial using the great products from Scor-Pal.
I loved THIS CARD on Pinterest and here is my version.
I was helped by the tutorial at Marianne's Papir but my card is a little larger and I have used the new Scor-Envi tool to make a coordinating envelope. I played around with the tool and it was pretty easy to make a custom sized envelope for this card.

Card Recipe:
Image - Pie Tilda
Medium - Copic Markers
Paper - Autumn Splendor by DCWV
Twill Ribbon - Hobby Lobby
Die Cuts - Heartfelt Creations
Epoxy Sentiments - K and Co
Tools - Scor-Pal and Scor-Envi
Corner and Border Punch - Martha Stewart Vintage Doily

Using a 6" by 12" piece of cardstock place at the top fence of the Scor-Pal and score at 3", 5", 7" and 9".

Burnish the fold to form two flaps that go back making a forward facing panel.

Die Cut the decorative panels for the sides and center.

Ink the edges of the die cuts and adhere to the panels.

For the envelope start with a 10" square of cardstock/designer paper. As per the instructions on the tool and the photo place the Scor-Envi tool in the top right hand corner of the Scor-Pal and place the cardstock against the tool as in the photo.
Score at 3 1/4" and 8 3/4". Rotate the paper by 90% (1/4 turn) and score at 2 3/4" and 9 1/4".

Snip out the corner triangles that are formed and burnish all scores.

Using Scor-Tape adhere the back flaps and using a corner and border punch combination decorate the top (open) flap on the envelope.

See how perfectly it fits?
It took a few trial runs on some scratch paper but it only took a few minutes to work out the dimensions for a custom envelope.

It is a really nice fold and perfect for displaying your favorite image/

Here is a view from the side.

A final look at cute Pie Tilda. I hope you enjoyed this and I can't wait to see your creations using this super new addition to the Scor-Pal line.

A Berry Sweet Friend!

It is well and truly Summer here in Texas, with very warm days, barely cooler nights and rain that if it comes brings along with a flash of lightning and a big boom of Thunder.
One of the bonuses though is the proliferation of fresh fruit in the stores.
From Strawberries to Peaches to Melons and more, each day has a little taste of fruity sweetness and today I decided to bring that Summer bonanza to Tilda and my card!

Challenges:
The Secret Crafter - Anything Goes

7 Kids College Fund - Layers

Card Recipe:
Image - Yummy Strawberry Tilda and Summer Background
Sentiment Stamp (friend) - Studio G
Medium - Copic Markers
Paper - Vintage Girl by Martha Stewart
Stickers - Doodlebug
Pearls and Butterflies - Recollections
Ribbon - Michaels
Lace - Hobby Lobby
Border and Corner Punch - Eyelet Lace by Martha Stewart
Glitter - Cotton Candy by Stickles
Scoring Tool - Scor-Pal
Airbrushing Tool - Copic

I added some of the extra sparkly stickers to the back of the card on the message mat.

I hope the camera picked up the glitter on the fruit, I decided to add more as the stickers were glittery already and we knows girls love glitter!
After yesterday with an Easel Card I decided to do a Center Stair Step today. It is so easy to just make the simple square cards that I have to remind myself to make more cards with a little different fold. With my Scor-Pal it makes it so super easy and I must find the time to look at some other styles and maybe come up with something new myself!
Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed my little Fruity Tilda!

A Very Special Tilda Project - Lots of Photos inside!

Happy Sunday!
Today I have a labor of love to show you and I'm hoping you'll like it as much as I do.
Michelle at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More had a brand new product in store and it just called my name out to be played with!
It is a blank clock byKaisercraft with little windows in for photos.
Now if you remember a project I did earlier in the year with a set of tiny shelves in a wooden "house" then you may have guessed why I wanted to make something with this one! Now I implore you to click on the photos to see the "big picture" so to speak as you cannot see the details in the little photos on blogger.
I will try and add notes under each photo with a fee technique pointers as to how I made this.

Challenges:
Our Daily Bread - Anything But A Card
Paper Romance - Everything But The Kitchen Sink (lots of everything!)
AI Factory - Die Cut or Punch (used both)
CCEE Stampers - Store Bought Flowers
My Time To Craft - Roses
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes
Top Tip Tuesday - Use an Image
Penny's - Alter Something
Passionately Artistic - Linky Party (link any and all your projects)
Basic Grey - Wings (Tilda has wings)
Crazy Challenge - Things with Wings (again Tilda is an Angel with wings)
Something Completely Different - Wings
Flutterby - Windows (OK it said Window card so I may be pushing it a little here :))
Drunken Stampers - Stitching (I did faux)
ABC Design - Sew Special
Our Creative Corner - Rust, Blue, Gold and Brown
Wee Memories - Patterned Paper
My Partner in Crafting Crime - Marker Madness

Project Recipe:
Clock - Kaisercraft Beyond The Page MDF Frame Clock W/Movement & Hands
Medium - Copic Markers
Paper - Mellow by Basic Grey
Flowers - Mini Roses from Prima
Die Cut - Beaded Circles by Spellbinders
Border and Corner Punch set - Martha Stewart French Scroll
Pearls - Basic Grey Opalines
Chipboard Numbers - Provo Craft
Letters - Walmart
Paint - Illuminate by Smooch
Images - Tilda as Shepherd
Tilda with Flowing Hair
Tilda on Christmas Morning
Tilda with Flowers
Standing Fall Tilda
Kitchen Tilda
Stylish Tilda
Peachy Tilda

I used two sheets of the same patterned paper on this project, one went on the base layer (the layer you can see through the windows) and the same again in exactly the same spot on the top layer (where the windows are).
I lined the paper up at the top left corner and then trimmed around the edge (the clock is 11" square.
On the top layer I turned the block over (patterned side down) and used my exacto knife to cut out the paper covering the windows.
So when I turned it back over and lined it up the paper on the bottom layer showed through and matched up exactly with the top layer.

I chose my Tilda's simply on the hair styles/hats I liked as I knew only the heads would show through.
I colored them down about halfway on the images so when i trimmed them to fit it would be blended correctly.

Each Tilda was trimmed to fit the spaces and then matted with a narrow brown mat to make the image stand out. Then using my Copic Multiliner I faux stitched the edges.
I colored them to match the paper color closest to the window they would be sitting in and arranged them (uncolored first) so that they would all be facing toward the center of the clock.

I decided that I needed to clock to look a little larger and more "decorated" so I added a border all the way around (on the outside of the clock base) using a Border and Corner punch set from Martha Stewart. This was super easy to do as I just used a 12" by 12" piece of coordinating cardstock, lined up the corner punches and then filled in with the borders (the punches are designed to fit a 12" square piece perfectly). I cut out the middle of the cardstock so the clock workings fit and then glued the cardstock "mat" to the back of the clock.
I used my ATG gun as it is good and sticky and I knew the cardstock would stick well.

After that I used a 1/4" wide stitched ribbon around the whole front edge of the clock to give it a more finished look. Then I added a very narrow strip of brown cardstock all around the side edges of the clock so you couldn't see the unfinished MDF edges.
Then I added the clock workings with a Spellbinders die cut under the hands, topped with paper flowers and pearls. The numbers are white chipboard that I colored with an R37 Copic Marker to match the paper.
To finish I added paper flowers to two corners and acrylic letters to the two larger window panels.

It now hangs proudly in my studio.
The photos were taken outside as I wanted to give you a better idea of the true colors of the paper.
I absolutely loved making this project and to be honest I didn't want it to end and want to make it all over again!
I hope you liked this and maybe it has inspired you to create "out of the box", just in time for a handmade Holiday gift maybe? :)

Happy World Card Making Day! New card with an Unreleased stamp!

Happy Saturday and Happy World Cardmaking Day!
I hope you get a little time to craft today, I know I will as hubby is away for the weekend! Hee Hee!
Today I have a new card for you to see and it's the world premiere of a Brand New Stamp that all you Magnolia fans are just going to have!
As I mentioned earlier in the week I am now on the new Design Team for The Pixie Cottage and I get a chance to play with the unreleased stamps before they go on general sale.
Well when I saw this wonderful door I just had to have it and I know you'll want to have it to for your upcoming Christmas cards.
You can see all the upcoming stamps at Michelle's Scrapbooking and More and I know you'll see some that will have to make their way to you!
This fantastic door is designed by Sandra Hammer and the details on it are just superb. I know that you'll agree it is perfect for your Christmas Edwin's and Tilda's and many others too! And it's due into the store around the end of the month so you'll have it in time for your Christmas projects. You can preorder it directly just here and your Tilda's and Edwin's will be sure to thank you!
Of course it wouldn't be me if there weren't some challenges involved so here goes.
Stamp With Fun started on off with a fabulous sketch
Simon Says Stamp had a color combo of Red and Green so it was obvious that I could use it for a Christmas card
A Spoon Full Of Sugar had the theme of Christmas
Christmas Stampin wanted to see 2 stamps used to make a scene
Storage Units Ink and More also wanted you to Create A Scene
ABC Challenge were at E for Embossing and I used a new Sizzix embossing folder with super snowflakes on it
Creative Card Crew had "All That Sparkles" as their theme and I made the snow extra sparkly!
My Time To Craft wanted Snow Buddies and I think Edwin looks a like the kind of buddy I'd like to have!

I used Edwin with Lantern and I love the fact that the door stamp has been made to match the Magnolia's in size.
The dp is Basic Grey from the both the Dasher and Fruitcake collections. I love the way that Basic Grey brings out a new Christmas line each year and that they coordinate with previous years!
I colored Edwin and the door with a selection of Copic's, Promarkers and Prismacolors. I colored him twice and popped up the second image for more dimension.
The snow is a combination of Diamond Stickles as a base and The Art Institute Ultra Fine glitter sprinkled on top.
The snowflakes and Believe are buttons from Jesse James.
I used an Emaginations patterned corner punch on all the corners.

I added an extra Edwin inside to the message mat.

Here's a close up of Edwin waiting by the fabulous door!
Anyway I'll be over at Paper Craft Planet for the Group Blog Hop later as I'll be playing along with the My Grafico gang! I'll be there from 7 - 8 EST so be sure to pop over and join in the fun!
Happy Creating!

What a Week! Now it's your turn for a prize :)

Happy Saturday,
This week has been a whirlwind and a wonderful one at that!
On Sunday I got the Sweet Sprinkles award from Pile It On for my plaque I made for Carter.
On Monday Dalis and Vicki from Pile It On asked me to join the Design Team full time and not just as a guest in October.
Then on Tuesday the same plaque won the 1st place at The Pink Elephant!
On Wednesday I squeezed in an entry to Victoria Case Challenges and it won! It means I get to be a guest of their team for next weeks challenge.
On Thursday I applied to be a DT member at The Pixie Cottage and although it's not a win it's a good thing just to apply!
Then Friday brought the motherload!
I won the blog candy at LaLa Land Crafts , then Use It Challenges chose my piece (albeit randomly ;)) and I get to host the challenge next week and finally Scrappy Frogs drew my name to win for last weeks challenge!

So it was a good week to do a drawing from the wonderful people who have signed up as a follower so far.
I was going to do the drawing today but I know with the upcoming Holiday and Back to School stuff that many of my readers haven't been around this week so I'm going to do the drawing on Wednesday from everyone that has signed up.
What will you win?
Here is the Blog Candy that could be winging your way!

Stop teasing us Katie you cry!!
Well I grabbed a Flat Rate envie and stuffed it with as many goodies as I could.
What are you getting....... here goes!

Paper Trends magazine
Simple Scrapbooks mini scrapbook kit
Chipboard shapes
Heidi Swapp Ghost stars and snowflakes
Autumn Leaves stamps
Studio G stamps
Felt Flowers
Brides Confetti Flowers
Embossed notecards and envelopes

If you add a photo to your blog side bar or post as well as signing up you'll get two entries into the draw. Be sure to leave a comment so I know you've added the deets!
Good luck and pass on the message!

Now if you've come for the Tilda card here she is!
It seems ages since I've inked up a Magnolia stamp as I've been so busy with digi's and it was a nice chance last night to go back to basics.

This Tilda can be got at Magnolia Stamps and she's such a cutie.
I decided to do a Fall theme as I love the colors and I think she looks lovely in her mustard jeans!
The dp are just fom my stash, mainly DCWV and the flowers are Brides.
I use the sketch over at Just Magnolia and I love it!
The Secret Saturday Crafter wanted Hearts and Flowers and I squeezed them in to my design :)
Also Stamp Something wanted you to use your favorite stamp and although I love all Tilda's this is one of my favorites.
Now I know I'm pushing it a little but I wanted this to fit with the challenge at Magnolia Down Under too. The challenge was 1 flower (I used 3), 2 ribbons (Tilda has ribbon in her hair and on her hat!, I told you I pushing the limits! LOL), 3 brads (in the flower centers) and 4 dp (that was easy)

The inside is more dp and a coordinating message mat.

Be sure to remember to sign up as a follower and mention this on your blog and you could be the winner come next Wednesday!
Have a great Saturday and be sure to check back tomorrow for my first card for the Pile It On team.

Baking Up Some Holiday Fun!

Hello again!
You knew I couldn't really resist sneaking another card even though I should be cleaning! LOL
This really will be the last Christmas in July card and I hope you've enjoyed the ones in the last 2 weeks.
Today's card features another Tilda and this time she's been busy in the kitchen!
She covers the following 4 challenges:
One Stop Craft Challenges gave me the Christmas in July theme
If The Shoe Fits Scrap It wanted Cupcakes!
Paperlicious Designs asked for us to use Fun Flock which I addded to the frosting on the cupcakes
and finally I got the sketch over at
The Pink Elephant , I had to stretch it a little into a square card but the design is still the same I hope!

This wonderful Tilda is called Tilda With Cowberry Muffin that they have in stock over at Magnolia-licious.
I colored her with Copic's and added Fun Flock to the top of the cupcakes and Diamond Stickles to her wings and the cherries.
The dp is Daisy D's , a company I wish was still around, and the cupcake stamp is STudio G $1 spot at Michaels. The flowers are Prima and the pearls Recollections.
I used the Apron Lace border punch from Fiskars.

The inside is more dp and a coordinating punched trim.

These cupcakes look yummy and are enough to make anyone forget dieting!
I do have a card planned for tomorrow if all works well this afternoon but so far it only covers 3 challenges so I'll have to get searching for some more! LOL
Have a great rest of your Thursday.

Well it wouldn't be July without a Christmas card would it!

Hi and a Happy Monday to y'all!
If you've been anywhere on the challenge blogs this month you'll have seen many have the "Christmas in July" theme.
Well I was holding of doing any Christmas stuff yet as it's not very condusive weather here but I can't wait another longer and so I'll be doing Christmas cards for you to see this week!
I have at least 4 blogs on my list with the same theme so I'll be fixed for links this week :)
Today's card works for:
Three Clovers - Christmas in July (and Hanukkah too!)
Stamp with Fun - Sketch
Just Magnolia - Buttons
and
Dawn McVey Favorite Things - Color combo, Moss/Celery, Cream, Bright Pink and Dark Red

I know you've seen me use this Tilda before as she is one of my very favorite ones to color. But she comes from the Holiday 2008 collection and this is the first time I've used ger on a Holiday card! She is called Well Dressed Tilda and I can't find her any where to link to but I'm sure Diana at Magnolia-licious could order her for you.
She is colored with Copic's and is sitting in a Nestie oval.
The dp are KI Memories (the striped background) and some from a Christmas stack I got at Walmart (I shop for paper everywhere! LOL)
I added Making Memories Glittered Chipboard flowers and topped them with Paper Studio buttons.
I used the Apron Lace border punch on the angle and added tiny Jesse James buttons. The ribbon is the $1 spot from last year at Michaels. The sentiment is Tiny Tales Vellum by My Minds Eye.

The inside is more KI paper and another cute Tilda! I added an additional Paper Studio sentiment.

I just wanted to show a close up of my favorite Tilda.
Be sure to check back all week for more Christmas cards, if I get working on them of course!
And finally I have some exciting news that I'm bursting to tell but you'll have to checking back to see what it is! LOL

Wow! 8 challenges in 1 card!

Hi Everyone,
You know how I did 6 callenges in one card last week?, well I've topped myself this time with 8 in 1!
I've been so busy with other cards that to get every challenge I wanted to do in I had to combine and I hope you like the result :)
This card covers:
Rosie Dee's Color challenge - Pink and Lime
Secret Saturday Color challenge - Pink and Green
Allsorts Theme challenge - Wings (on the butterfly as you can't see Tilda's, hee hee!)
Our Creative Corner Theme challenge - Stars
Sketch Saturday Sketch #56
Just Magnolia Theme challenge - Summer
Pile It On Color challenge - Purple (the butterflies are purple and a little on the stripes of Tilda's shirt)
Lili of the Valley Technique challenge - Paper Piecing (I paper pieced Tilda's shirt and jeans)
Whew, that was a long list and now comes the card :)

I tried to make it so it looked like Tilda was sitting on an open windowsill and the border punch was the curtains.
I used the Tilda with Bee from the Chasing Butterflies collection and colored her with my Copic's and paper pieced her shirt and jeans. I used 2 different border punches both by Fiskars. The sentiment is from The Paper Company and the dp is DCWV Garden Party.

The inside just has coordinating papers from the Garden Party and Spring stacks by DCWV.

Here is a close up of cute Tilda. It looks like she has a halo from the sun but it was too late to restamp so I had to go with it :)
I hope you have a happy rest of your day and be sure to check back tomorrow for a card using the Friday Sketchers latest sketch.
