Challenge #2 at The Pixie Cottage

Sorry for the triple post day but it's worth it!
Also remember to click on my photo banner at the top for details of my 20000th hit blog candy!
It's time for another challenge at The Pixie Cottage and this time it's a theme challenge of "Celebrate!"
This means a birthday card, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Wedding, New Baby, really any great occasion fits this!

I used some more current challenges to help me in the creation.
Three Clovers gave me the sketch this week.
Charisma Cardz wanted Delightful Daisies
Scrap Masters Finally Friday wanted Embossing and Layering
Frosted Designs wanted to see you Pop It Up with layers/pop dots etc
Crafty Catz wanted Buttons or Brads
365 Cards Day 240 wanted a decorated pin
Creatalicious had a recipe of scraps of dp (I have tons of those!), new cardstock, and handmade flowers (I wonder who made those daisies! Hee Hee!)
Just Us Girlswanted 3D Flowers
One Stop Craft also had a Celebration theme
Allsortswanted a Furry Friend and I don't know if a cow is really furry but she certainly is cute enough!

I used the super cute cow designed by Alisa Ramirez that you can get at Michelle's Scrapbooking
I colored her with Copic's and matted her on green. Then I embossed a piece of Coredinations cardstock with a Daisy embossing folder and sanded it so the color showed through. Then I added another green mat.
I used the new Martha Stewart Daisy border punch to create a double border and then topped it with ribbon.
I printed the sentiment out and double matted it too. Then I added it to the card with Pop Dots.
Finally I created the pin from a heart jewelry finding from Hobby Lobby and a selection of glass and pearl beads and a premade bow from Offray.
The flowers were punched, sanded and fastened with a brad. Then I folded the petals upwards to add more depth.
The dp is from some DCWV scraps from an old stack.

The inside is more dp with a message mat.

I know she's not really very furry but she sure looks cute and friendly!

The Copic's I used for this card are:
Y11 - Pale Yellow
Y15 - Cadmium Yellow
Y17 - Golden Yellow
C1 - Cool Grey #1
C3 - Cool Grey #3
E93 - Tea Rose

I'd love to see your Celebration cards so please go and create and then post them for us all to see at The Pixie Cottage, you maybe the winner of a new stamp so it's worth a try!

Puppy Love - A New card for Cute Daisy May

Happy Monday!
It's time for a new challenge at Cute Daisy May and this week's theme is "I Love You". I thought I'd take a little liberty with the theme and for all you dog lovers I did a Puppy Love card!
This image is so super cute and it comes from Sheet 35 and I wanted to turn it into a Christmas card, don't ask me why?
I've used some other challenges to help me create this card.
Friday Sketchers gave me the sketch
Paper Cutz wanted Tags
Scrap Masters had Embossing as their Finally Friday challenge
Charisma Cardz said "It's So Distressing"
Lili Of The Valley wanted a Christmas Card for a Child
Whimsical Ink Sorority wanted to see some Bling!
Fun with Shapes and More wanted Christmas with non traditional colors.

The papers are a combination of some old Cosmo Cricket, Scenic Route (sad to see them close :() and The Paper Studio.
The embossing folder is Snowflakes from Cuttlebug and the sentiment was printed and then cut with a scalloped Nestie.
Theimage was colored with Copic's and then I added ink to the image, mat and the squares behind it too.

The inside is more dp and a message mat topped with ribbon.

So I'd love to see you "show your love" and enter a card in this weeks challenge!

Let Your Dreams Take Flight, a new Lily Boo card

Another Friday rolls around!
I'm happy to report that my new printhead arrived safe and sound and my printing is perfection! So I can make lots of new cards....if I could just find the time!LOL
Also my fabulous Martha Stewart Loops punches arrived on Wednesday and I love them!!!
Thanks again to Terry at More Than Ink for his super service.
We had a car scare yesterday. We had packed a picnic and were all in the car waiting to go out. I got in and turned the key...click, click, click and no starting :(
Oh no, we only have one car and it is 8 years old (but it is paid for :))and with visitors here it is needed. Hubby thought it could be the battery (that was 3 years old this month)so when he got home from work we borrowed the neighbors car (thanks Jenny!)and headed to Walmart. The sticker on the battery was 8/06 and it had a 3 year replacement warranty on it and we wee delighted to find that Walmart stood behind it completely and we walked out with a free brand new battery! All the way home we prayed it was the problem and hoped it would work. 10 minutes later, the key turned and .....roar the engine came to life and we were back in the driving seat!!! So a day that started badly ended much better.
To top it off we had a movie from the Redbox and watched Hannah Montana the Movie outside on the protector!
Now I've updated on my week I'm sure you're waiting for the new card.
This one covers 7 challenges an features one of the wonderful new Boy Circle images from Lily Boo (I'll link below)
I started with the sketch from PaperPlay
then I added a color combo of Green Galore, Soft Suede and Whisper White from ScrapMasters
Cute Card Thursday had a theme of Lazy Dayz and 3 Clovers wanted us to use Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Finally I added embellishments to fit ABC Challenge who wanted buttons, Whimsy Stamps who wanted Ribbons and Crafty Creations who wanted us to use Tags.

I printed out the fabulous image from Lily Boo's Boutique on Georgia Pacific cardstock and colored him with Copic's. I cut him with a QK nesting flower (that I think looks more like a scallop circle) and then matted the whole thing on another circle. The dp is DCWV The Green Stack and the buttons are The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby

The inside is more dp and a matching circle message mat.

I just wanted to give a close up of this cute little guy!
This is the last weekend before school starts on Monday so I'm hoping we can fill it with fun things!
Have a great weekend!

Time for a new card and guess what?.....more challenges!

Happy Thursday!
I hope you are all well and enjoying these few weeks before the kiddos go back to school.
We ae busy everyday here as my Mum is in town from England and the children are loving every moment of having Nana here.
I did manage to get another card done though and this one covers 10 challenges.

I started with a sketch from Digital Tuesday Challenge
This worked as 3 Clovers wanted you to get Techie and use a Digi image
Then for colors I used the combo of Pumpkin Pie, Pale Plum and Crushed Curry that Scrap Masters gave me.
Then I started adding themes from;
Whimsy Stamps - Animal Magic
Creative Card Crew - Princess Party
Stamp With Fun - Birthday
Allsorts - Vintage
Secret Saturday Crafter - Cute as a Bug
ABC Challenge - Anything Goes with an option of Animals
Cute Daisy May - Floral Fantasy

I used a wonderful image from Cuddly Buddly's Teddy Bears Playtime Collection
I colored her with Copic's and the dp is just a collection from my stash. The flowers are Prima, I printed the sentiment and added Diamond Stickle to her crown.

The light wasn't good but I added more dp to the inside and a large message mat.

I just wanted a close up of this super cute Princess (or maybe she's a Queen?) teddy bear!
I'll be back soon with another card and I hope you liked today's!

You'll need your sunglasses for this one!

Happy Wednesday!
Todays card is certainly a bright one! LOL
A little more whimsical than my usual style but those Dustin Pike images I told you about last week sneaked into my shopping cart and they are too cute to sit not printed and colored for long.
As usual I've been combining challenges and this one covers 6 different ones.
BTW I've been creating a list of challenge blogs and so far I have over 100 so I should never be short of ideas!LOL

The Next Level gave me a wonderful sketch by Jacque
Scrap Masters gave me the color combo of Kiwi Kiss, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze and Rich Razzleberry. I'll admit that I don't have any Stampin' Up stuff so I have to try and chose colors that look similar.
Paper Blooms asked for Animals and a Punny Sentiment (I think I did that :))
Our Creative Companion wanted Pets/Animals as well
Creative Card Crew were looking for you to create a scene
Cupcake Crafts wanted you to include Blossoms and Butterflies.

This cute image from Dustin Pike was colored with Copic's and I added Diamond Stickles to his wings. I cut it out and popped it up as the sketch also required a 3D image. I added a butterfly made with two layers made from a Marvy punch. I tore some Cordinations cardstock to make the grass. The flowers are Prima, the dp is KMA (no longer making their own papers :()

The inside just has more dp and a journaling mat with the same ribbon as the on the front.

I hope you can see the Stickles and the 3D popped image.
So that is todays creation and I hope you like him!

Another 4 challenges in this cute Tilda card!

Happy Thursday Everyone!
Be sure to scroll down to yesterdays post for a great deal on Copic's that I found!
I made another card the other day and this time she covers 4 different challenges.
I keep finding all these great challenge blogs and I'm always happy when they let you combine ;)
This time the card covers;
Magnolia Down Under - Sketch, this was where I started with this card.
Scrap Masters - Color challenge - Bermuda Bay, Soft Suede and Melon Mambo
The Cuttlebug Spot - Something funny, the sentiment I used is a quote that says "Laughter is the shortest distance between two people- Victor Borge"
The Pink Elephant - Stars and Strips. I used punched border strips, ribbon strips and added the stars to another punched border inside.
ETA There is no white strip down the side of the sentiment it's just the way the light caught the beveled edge of the epoxy sticker, I didn't spot it in editing only after this posted!

I used the cute Tilda with Cowberry Muffin and colored her with my Copic's. I then added Diamond Stickles to her wings, muffin case, bows and around the eyelet edge of her smock.
I used my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder on the bottom rectangle and the Flowers folder from Quickutz on the top. With the flowers I used CoreDinations cardstock and sanded it gently for the pale pink to show through. I love how this looks and will be playing with this new cardstock lots in the weeks to come!
The border punch is Apron Lace from Fiskars.
The dp is DCWV Nana's Nursery Baby Boy

The inside is simple but I needed to add the stars to make The Pink Elephant challenge ;)

A close up of cute Tilda and her Muffin.
I hope you like her and have a great day!
