Magnolia Monday #17 - A Delicious Tilda just for you!

Happy Labor Day!
At last the temperatures here in North Texas seem to be cooling a little and I can look forward and see Fall coming it's way soon!
In celebration I have a card with the lovely Jam Tilda perched on a Bench after a trip apple picking! When we lived in Missouri we used to love going to the orchard to pick apples, great memories, luckily I have lots of photos to help me remember.
Even though it is a holiday here in the US today it is still Monday so that means you can come along and link up your Magnolia cards below!
As a treat (maybe experiment) I will leave the linky open all week and you can link up any Magnolia card from any day this week!

OMG can I tell you how in love I am with this paper pad? It's crazy but I knew as soon as I saw it at Joann's that I had to go straight home and use it! The cardstock border stickers are gorgeous, all glittery and wonderful. The flowers were made from paper from the same pad, yes it even has sheets of just pure glittered paper! Agh I know I'm going to have to print another coupon and get another while they still have them :)
OK, that's enough excitement over paper.
I hope you enjoy your Labor Day off if you are here in the US and be sure to link up your Magnolia card below.
Remember as a treat I'm leaving the linky open all week and you can link any Magnolia from any day this week to share!

Magnolia Monday #15 - It's Your Fault :)

Big day in this house.
It's Back to School and this year it's all 3 children going.
Nate is starting High School and is worried he'll get lost. Georgia is going into 7th Grade and is sad that she doesn't have any classes with her friends and she can't even eat lunch with them as she is in Symphonic Band which means she eats with the 8th Graders. And Carter is going into Kindergarten and it means Mummy is at home all alone :( Early morning cuddles in bed and lounging in the PJ's will have to wait until weekends and will be replaced with lunchboxes, lost homework, pumping up bikes tires and making sure Nate gets on the bus. All my babies are stepping out and making their way in the world and this Mama Bird knows they need to stretch their wings and fly even if she has tears in her eyes :(

But I'll get used to it and maybe I'll finally have the clean house I've been looking for all Summer and all those chores that need doing but aren't urgent (cleaning out too small clothes from closets, moving furniture to vacuum the dust bunnies, recycling a years worth of magazines etc) will get on to the "to do list".

Plus I can craft when I like (chores pushed aside again maybe ;)) and there will be other things to fill my day.

Anyway on to the reason you're here, it's time for another Magnolia Monday and I can believe I'm on week 15 of my mission! LOL I think you'll like this weeks as Tilda is feeling a little sassy :)

I've had this little Peach Tilda for a long while and she needed inking up for a card as she'd only be stamped once into my inventory book! LOL
Be sure to link your Magnolia creation below and I'll come over and have a look!

Magnolia Monday #13 - Hugs To You!

Happy Monday everyone!
It's time for another Magnolia Monday with a super sweet Tilda card!
Before we get to the card I have to say I found a new site yesterday and fell in love! For a long while I've resisted the lure of digital papers but slowly and surely they are coming to get me. I was blog browsing yesterday and found a post from a very talented card maker, Tab, and she used some fabulous digital papers from Raspberry Road and of course I clicked and spent the next hour oohing and aahing over the fabulous designs! Of course there was no way that some didn't just jump into my basket! With minutes of buying I had already decided which sketch to use on the card and so I could print just enough of each paper for the project, how fabulous is that? I'm not affiliated with the store at all and there are so many digital stores to choose from I'm just tempting you to step into the digital paper world if you aren't there already! LOL
Now on to the card, I'd love you to link up your card below as it is of course Magnolia Monday and the theme is always "Anything Goes" with a Magnolia!

I hope you like it too and will come along and share with me!

Feeling HOT HOT HOT!!! and Patriotic too!

It's a Double posting day and I hope you have a fabulous Memorial Day (or Bank Holiday) planned!
My hubby is away on a Scout camp so I'm on grill duty! LOL
I have a very Patriotic card for you today.
Although I live in Texas I was born and raised in Nottingham England and lived there for 28 years and my heart will always be there. But one thing the UK and the US share are the colors of their flag, Red, White and Blue so on US Holidays I can always be transported home in my heart right away. So today's card fills both sides of the Atlantic :)

This card fits with the following challenges:

Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Summertime
Just Magnolia - Hot and Spicy
Magnolia Birthday Bash - Sketch
Magnolia Down Under - Flowers
Crafty Creations - Favorite stamp (I couldn't choose one so I had to just choose a Tilda as they are what really got me into stamping)
Stampin With Dragon - Summer

For Fun - Masking
Scrap Stamp and Doodle - Red White and Blue
Ann's Creative Nook - Red White and Blue
No Time To Stamp - Colors of your flag. Well although I've been in the USA for 13 years now my home country is Great Britain and our flag is the Union Jack and it's Red, White and Blue like the Stars and Stripes!
Doodle Palace - Colors of Your Flag
Res Q - Red, White and Blue
Color Chef - Light Blue, Dark Blue, Red and White
Friends Having Fun - Colors and Feel of Memorial Day

Pretty in Pink - What's Tilda Cooking Up This Time?

Happy Friday Everyone!
I really am enjoying my card making at the moment and this one was so much fun to make I was actually quite sad when the creating was all over.
I think that Tilda is feeling a little sassy with her Valentines message but you know that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach so I think it fits ;)

As always I used a few challenges to help me with her creation.

Paper Take Weekly had a "Pretty Pink Papertake" theme
Magnolia-licious had a "Pretty in Pink" challenge
Magnolia Down Under had a Valentines theme
Everbody Art had a great sketch
Crafty Creations had a Love/Valentines theme
Belli want to see Hearts
Flutterby wanted Embossing and a Butterfly, Fairy or Angel. Now we know Tilda is an angel but in this image she's hiding her wings but I think it still counts (please Danni! LOL)
Crafty Ann wanted Embossing too
LaLa Lands wanted Fancy Folds so I did an Easel card which I think is perfect to show off this image
Creative Card Crew want you to "Punch It"
Simon Says Stamp want you to "Punch It" too!
Your Next Stamp wanted "Anything That Sparkles"

I took liberty and borrowed the words from Hank Williams Jr but I don't think he'll mind too much. I used Kitchen Tildaand think she looks super cute with her big wooden spoon. As usual I colored her with Copic's and I love the pink shades.
The dp is My Minds Eye Love Nest collection. I embossed the pink background cardstock with the Victoria embossing folder and inked it a little to help show the pattern. The flowers are Prima, the ribbon is American Crafts, the brads are Target and the rhinestones are Queen & Co.
I used the new Hearts border and corner punches from Martha Stewart and I absolutely LOVE how they look.

Sorry for the awful photo.
I covered the bottom of the card with the same dp and added a punched border as a stopper.
Then I printed out the lyrics as my sentiment. I have a message mat further up under the card for your own message.

Here's a close up of my Pretty in Pink Tilda and I hope you like her, she makes me happy just looking at her :)
