Sweet Snowdrops - Guest Designer at Pink Gem Designs!

It looks like it will be a very busy year for me crafting wise and I can't wait!
Just before I left for England I got a very nice email from Janet at Pink Gem Designs asking me if I'd like to join them as a Guest Designer for 3 months.
I was super excited when Janet asked me to join in as I love their designs! I discovered Pink Gem Designs 2 years ago in a British card magazine and was hooked from the start! The images are so cute and I hope you enjoy my cards for them this 1st quarter of the new year.
Today is my first card as a Guest Designer and this card is part of their A Gem of A Challenge!. From today the challenge goes to every two weeks so more chances to play and win!

I popped the scalloped circle up on a piece of foam for a little extra dimension.
I also added Icicle Stickles to the Snowdrops, as snow on the ground, on her boots and even in her hair band!

This is the super sketch we had to work with:

I stamped Hannah with her sled and colored her and then cut her out to fit along with the sketch. I picked colors from the papers and I love how the soft mustard yellow and light aqua work together.
I embossed the back panel with one of the wonderful Basic Grey embossing folders and sanded it lightly to show the color through.

Cooking It Up #43 - Button me a Ribbon Animal

Happy New Year Everyone!
I arrived back from England on Sunday evening and am still in "home sick mode" but it is getting better with each day. We all had a fabulous time with our family, savoring every precious moment and it is always so hard to leave and travel 4500 miles back to our home.
But life goes on and picking up my crafting tools and creating helps make it all a little easier.
2011 is going to be a very busy year, more crafting opportunities than ever and I'm excited to get it off to a good start.
