Digital Delights - A Trio of Treat Holders!

Thursday means it's time for more great creations from the Design Team over at Digital Delights
This week I decided to make some cute little treat holders.
There is no template or tutorial as I just made them up as I went along :)

Challenges:
Sweet Stampin - Anything Goes (2 entries only)
Critter Sketch - Anything Goes
Creatalicious - Anything Goes
Creative Stamp Friends - Anything But A Card
Crazy 4 Challenges - Halloween
Hand Stamp Sentiments - Halloween
Speedy The Cats Friends - Wings

Project Recipe:
Image - Batty Brew
Sentiment - Halloween Sentiments Set 2
Medium - Copic Markers
Paper - DCWV Ghosts and Goblins
Ribbon - American Crafts
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Die Cut - Spellbinders

It was super easy, just a piece of cardstock 8 1/2" by 3".
Put the cardstock lengthwise at the top fence of the Scor-Pal.
Score at 3" and 5 1/2", burnish.
Cut a label from a Spellbinders die and score in half on the shortest side.
Attach the label die cut to make a triangle holder and decorate as you wish.

The idea is to put in a mini chocolate bar, like a Milky Way, with a little strip of Scor Tape to hold it in place.
I hope you like this little idea, there is still plenty of time for you to get your Halloween crafting in!

This was the great sketch we had this week.

I printed out two copies of the image and colored one whole and cut it out and then colored and cut out just the kitty body and popped it on foam on top.
This was a very Clean and Simple style for me, not an embellishment in sight!
I hope you liked it and will come over and join us at The Pixie Cottage this week.

Magnolia Monday #20 - A Tilda Spring Fold Card

EDITED to add - Place Top 3 at The Crafty Pad , thanks!!!

Welcome to another week and another Magnolia Monday, number 20!
This one was a challenge for me as although I love the look of the Shabby Chic style I find it hard to emulate.
I also chose to incorporate a pretty hard card fold so it took a little longer than I was expecting it to to finish!

Challenges:
Critter Sketch - Anything Goes
Creatalicious - Anything Goes
Hanna and Friends - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin - Anything Goes (2 entries only)
Kaboodle Doodles - Doily
Simply Magnolia - Shabby Chic

Prairie Fairy - Pink and Distressed

There's Magic In The Air - Punches and/or Dies (3 different)
Magnolia Down Under - Fancy Folds (I did a Spring Fold card)
Pile It On - Fancy Folds
Incy Wincy - Fancy Folds

Card Recipe:
Image - Tilda with Flower Pot
Medium - Copic Markers
Paper - Lost and Found Madison Avenue by My Minds Eye
Doily Die - French Pastry by Cheery Lynn Designs
Border Punch - Doily Hearts by Martha Stewart
Butterfly Trio Punch - Martha Stewart
Roses - Kort and Godt
Lace Fabric - Joanns
Trim - Wrights
Sentiment - The Paper Studio

This is how the card looks unfolded, I inked all the edges and faux stitched each panel. I really like how soft and subtle the patterns are on the paper pad.

There is a small panel for your message which got inky too!

I don't know if you can see but I used another piece of my favorite lace fabric on the main panel of the card. Even it got the ink treatment.
I'm not sure whether this is more distressed or shabby or vintage, I hope a little of all.
Please come along and share your card with me this week.

Butterfly - Large Monarch by Martha Stewart
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Glitter - German Glass Fine in Blush
Sentiment - Starfish and Dreams Inspirational Talk
Pearls - Bridal Dept
Ribbon - Michaels
Adhesives - Adhesive Squares and 3D Raisens

I decided to make another card and box set and this time used the template called Box In A Bag found at Split Coast Stampers.

It starts very simply with a square of cardstock 4 1/2" by 4 1/2".
You score at 1" on all 4 sides and then score the diagonal from the outer corner to where the 1" score lines meet. Add tape to the squares so you can attach the form the base of the box.

The box corners are then burnished to form a neat tight edge.
You then add the patterned paper as in the tutorial to form the sides of the box. Then add a reinforced tab to the top to form the ribbon closure.

With the "Raisens" I decided to try and see if I could use them to add glitter to my flowers. I love the look of German Glass Glitter but as it is heavier than regular synthetic glitter it needs a good form of adhesive.

I added the "Raisen" to the center and shaped it slightly to make it more circular.
When it is wet is is difficult so I carried on and hoped for the best!

I poured on the glitter and pressed it down with my finger. You must be carefully with this product as it is made from real glass.

I shook off the excess glitter and continued shaping the glittered "Raisen" with both my fingers and an exacto knife.

They came out pretty good and I used more "Raisens" underneath to glue them to the box.

For the card I decided to go with a simple Z style fold.
The cardstock measures 12" by 6" and you score at 3" and 6" along the long side.

Burnish the folds, one in one direction, the second in the other forming a Z shape card with a large base of 6" by 6".

Decorate each panel with designer paper.

For the card decoration I used butterflies on flowers and I adhered them to the card using the Extreme Tac Adhesive Squares.

Complete the card and box by decorating how you wish.

I hope you have enjoyed this and be sure to drop by Scor-Pal and leave a comment so that you can be in with a chance of winning a great prize! Be sure to stop by the Glue Arts Blog and leave a comment there for even more chances!
