Guest designer at Crafty Creations - Make Your Own Button

I was super excited to be asked to be a part of Crafty Creations for a month and today is my first card for them!
We were asked to "Make your own button" which was something I'd never done before.
I wasn't sure whether I was doing it right but in the end I punched 4 circles of white card stock, glued them together in a pile, added a blue card stock circle on the top and used my Crop-O-Dile to make the holes. Then I added some red, white and blue ribbon through the holes and I think they turned out pretty good (if I do say so myself! LOL).
So now it's your turn to go and try the challenge!

The Pixie Cottage Challenge - Green

Happy Wednesday!
It's almost St Patrick's Day so to celebrate the team over at The Pixie Cottage are challenging you to use a little Green in your creations this week!

This is the first time we've offered a digital image and it will go in the store after the challenge is over in case you miss it.
Are we looking at going all digi on you? No, of course not, rubber is our first love but customer feedback has led us to know that some of you want the instant gratification and versitility of a digital image. Happy Monday Everyone!
With the New Year we have started something new at Cute Daisy May
As usual each Monday we will have a new challenge but each week the challenge will be hosted by a member of the Design Team.
They may chose their favorite theme or technique or maybe they'll challenge themselves as well as chose something they've never done before.
This is the first week of the hosted challenges and this one is hosted by ME!
Valentines Day is approaching and this is a great challenge to help you create those romantic cards. I'd love to see flowers and ribbons in adundence on you cards, if you know a special technique with either that would be a great too!

I used a few other challenges to help me create this as well.
Daring Cardmakers had Garnet as their inspiration
If The Shoe Fits wanted Chipboard (I used a chipboard sentiment)
Stamp Something had a sketch
Lili of the Valley had a Thank You theme

Super Sweet! Time for a new My Grafico sketch challenge!

Happy Wednesday!
Time for another sketch challenge at My Grafico

The Design Team got to work with a fabulous set called Sweety Girls

I did manage a couple challenges to go along with it.
PaperCutz wanted "Anything with a stamped or digital image"!
Crafty Cardmakers had the theme of "As Clear as Day" so I used clear Dewdrops that I colored red with a Copic
Die Cuts R Us wanted a "Girly Project"
Handfull Of Stamps wanted a Holiday Card
Tuesday Taggers had a color combo of Red, Green and Gold

The dp and sentiment are from a pack by Colorbok.
The Poinsettia flowers are from Hobby Lobby in the Christmas department.
The Dew Drops started life clear but I colored them with the R39 Copic to match the dp.

Inside is more dp and another Poinsettia.

Although the image was not designed to be a Christmas it shows that by chosing your colors you can turn things to be just the way you want it to be :)

La La Lands Guest DT- Pink Challenge

Happy Wednesday!
I was very honored to be asked to join as a Guest Designer at La La Lands for November and December!
If you're a follower of mine you'll know that most weeks I join their challenges and have won on a few occasions too!
So it was easy to say yes and today is my very first card in my guesting role.
And the challenge was a super one for me as it was to use the color Pink!
Of course I had to add a few other challenges along the way.
Three Clovers wanted a card/project for a Teenager.
Stamps and Smiles gave me the sketch
Hand Full Of Stamps wanted 4 of something
Daring Cardmakers wanted you to Get Punchy
Fun With Shapes and More wanted Frames and Borders
Die Cuts R Us wanted you to "Nest Something"
Kraftin Kimmie said "Tag You're It!"
One Stop Craft wanted to see you use Text Paper
Saturday Spotlight wanted the theme of "In So Many Words" and I think the background text paper works here :)

I used the super cute Sweet LaLa and in fact she's the first LaLa Lands stamp I've created a card with!
I colored her twice with Copic's and cut out and popped up on image on the other for dimension.
I've used 3 different dp, 2 are DCWV and the other is a Paper Pizazz. I love that with card making you can use papers from years ago and as long as your style and design is current it all works!
I used fabric brads for the "4" challenge and I framed LaLa with a Nestie and added a border using the wonderful Valentines Lace border punch from Martha Stewart.
The sentiment is from The Paper Studio mounted on a vellum heart tag from Making Memories.

Inside is more dp and a message mat.

You cna see the shadow formed by the "popping" of LaLa and I hope you like her.
I'd love to see your Pink Creation so be sure to drop by La La Lands and join in the fun!

Halloween - A New Cute Daisy May Card

Happy Monday,
It's another new week and it's Halloween time at Cute Daisy May!
I decided to use a non Halloween image from Sheet 27 and this is a great advantage of digital stamps.
The original image said "Tooth Fairy" on the bag but with a little work in my editing program I removed the words and replaced them with "Trick or Treat".
As usual I used other challenges to help me create this card and with it being the last week in October there were a lot with very similar themes. I managed to find 22!

Tuesday Taggers had "Things that go Bump in the Night!"
Crafty Creations had "All Hallows Eve" as their theme
Stampin For The Weekend wanted a "Haunting Good Time"
Everybody Art
Incy Wincy
Kaboodle Doodles
Creative Inspirations
Stamp with Sarah Kay
Penny's Challenge
Rainbow Lady
Sunflowers and Dragonflies
all had Halloween as their theme
Stamp Something had a Halloween theme too and Linnie from Cute Daisy May is sponsoring there this week so enter both challenges and you have even more of a chance of winning!
Digital Tuesday wanted "Things With Wings"
Cute Card Thursday wanted Candy Corns or any candy/sweet treat theme.
Cuttlebug Challenge had a Halloween theme too and you have to ue their product so I got out my trusty embossing folders!
Handfull of Stamps wanted Layers, with 3 of the same thing layered.
A Spoon Full of Sugar gave me the sketch
Crazy 4 Challenges was getting Geometrical wanting 3 or more of the same shape
Flutterby Wednesday still has an open month as long as your creation has a Fairy or Butterfly on it.
Creative Card Crew wanted Babies or Children
Copic's Colour Challenge wanted us to use G99 Olive, V17 Amethyst and YR68 Orange
My Time To Craft wanted to see Halloween colors too.

I used the fabulous new dp from Basic Grey called Eerie. I cut the block with a labels Nestie.
I embossed some Coredinations cardstock with the Swiss Dots embossing folder and cut it into strips to sit behind the image.
The flowers are from Prima and patterned brads are from the Target $1 spot.

Inside is a poem I wrote a few years ago and I left a space at the bottom for a personal message.

She certainly is a Halloween Cutie!
I'd love to see you join in this weeks challenge at Cute Daisy May!
And be sure to click on my banner at the top of the page to bring up my BLOG CANDY post for a chance to enter!
