Easter's coming - Brand New images from Digital Delights (and news on Freebie Friday too)

Hello Everyone and Welcome to Friday!!!

Usually on a Friday you see me with the Freebie from Digital Delights, well you'll still see it today but it will be the last weekly one, Freebies will be on a monthly basis now. But you won't have to wait long for the next Freebie as they'll be on the 1st Friday of the month and that's next week! LOL

Just a reminder that you can now find the freebies at our groups at Papercraft Planet and SNR Card Universe All you have to do is join one or both of our groups and the image is yours. You can find it under the subject Freebie Friday in the discussions area!!) Be sure to become a follower of the groups of your choice so you can be sure to keep up to date with our fun happenings!!

This time we are meeting Timmy Tiger and I'm sure you'll love him!

But on to more important matters.....a new card with a Brand New Addition to the Digital Delights family!

I've a few challenges that helped me along the way with this one.

Die Cut Dreams had an Easter theme
Everybody Art wanted an Easel card
Humble Pie wanted one too
Lexi's have an Anything Goes week
My Grafico want Chipboard and I used Chipboard Easter eggs
Pollycraft wanted you to Double Up and use two images
Practical Scrappers want to see Stamps
My Time To Craft had an "In The Frame" challenge
Papertake had a great sketch that a frame worked with
Colordare had the combo of Bashful Blue, Ruby Red, Kiwi Kiss and Whisper White
Crafty Creations want you to Cut It Out and Pop It Up

Card Recipe

Images - Barnaby Paints an Egg and Somebunny Loves You sentiment
Paper - DCWV Nana's Kitchen
Medium - Copic Markers
Dewdrops - Robins Nest
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Chipboard Eggs - American Crafts

Here you can see the side view of the easel, I still really like doing this style of card for a special image as it gives the recipient the perfect way to display it for all to see.

Hopefully you can see the that the frame is raised up and Barnaby is sitting on the edge with the sentiment underneath at the back of the frame.
Isn't Barnaby a cutie? I love him so much that I've asked Wendy if he could be a new member permanently and not just at Easter so we'll have to watch out for him again!
Easter is fast approaching and if want to get your handmade cards and gifts ready in time then now is the time to start creating!
There are lots of other new Easter images at Digital Delights and for those with a little Irish in you (don't we all?) then there are St Patrick's Day images too, you'll find them all on the front page.
I hope you've enjoyed this little trip down Bunny Lane and be sure to drop back tomorrow for another new card and maybe, just maybe, a little blog candy for my latest milestone!

Hoppin' By To Say...It's Freebie Friday!

Happy Friday!
It's time for another Digital Delights freebie and this one is one you'll use over and over again.
It works for birthdays for all ages and with it being a digital image it means you can print it as large or as small as you want it, each time just how you want it!
You can see the image being used at The Freebie Friday Page!

I'm always in need of birthday cards so I decided to try this one out for myself along with a few challenges to help me out.

My Time To Craft wanted Green plus One
Cards For Men wanted Green too
The Wildflower Patch want Green also
Die Cuts R Us wanted No Designer Paper
Papertake wanted you to "Check This Out" with checks or gingham on your project
Peachy Keen had a Sketch
Rosie Dees had a Just For Men theme
Tellens Place had a Birthday theme
Penny's also wanted Birthdays
My Grafico wanted Plaid so I used my Plaid embossing folder

Card Recipe:

Image - Alvin The Toad
Cardstock - DCWV
Medium - Copic Markers
Brads - The Paper Studio
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Embossing Folder - Plaid by Cuttlebug

Inside is a message mat. Obviously as one of the challenges was no DP this is very plain inside.

After I colored him I went over the tummy with YG00 to give a mottled effect as Toads are usually a little "warty" but I didn't want to distract from his cuteness too much! LOL
Don't you know a boy who'd love this card for his birtday?
And with the Birthday Circle Sentiment you can use it anytime you need a Birthday card!

So go and grab the Birthday sentiment freebie and get creating!

I used the fabulous Soccer Jamie and colored him with Copic's to match the inspiration photo. I really love his long hair! I cut him with a label Nestie.
The dp is from an old DCVW stack.
The border punch is a new design from EK Success and the soccer balls are puffy stickers from Michaels. The patterned brads are Paper Studio.

I added another soccer ball to the mat inside the card.

Here's Jamie, I wonder if he'll score a goal today? LOL

So no matter what your take on Love is be sure to make a card and enter our challenge.

We have a great sponsor Stamp and Create who are offering a $15 gift certificate for the winner.

Super Sweet! Time for a new My Grafico sketch challenge!

Time for another sketch challenge at My Grafico

The Design Team got to work with a fabulous set called Sweety Girls

I did manage a couple challenges to go along with it.
PaperCutz wanted "Anything with a stamped or digital image"!
Crafty Cardmakers had the theme of "As Clear as Day" so I used clear Dewdrops that I colored red with a Copic
Die Cuts R Us wanted a "Girly Project"
Handfull Of Stamps wanted a Holiday Card
Tuesday Taggers had a color combo of Red, Green and Gold

The dp and sentiment are from a pack by Colorbok.
The Poinsettia flowers are from Hobby Lobby in the Christmas department.
The Dew Drops started life clear but I colored them with the R39 Copic to match the dp.

Inside is more dp and another Poinsettia.

Although the image was not designed to be a Christmas it shows that by chosing your colors you can turn things to be just the way you want it to be :)

Happy Birthday - New Card for My Grafico

Happy Wednesday!
This week at My Grafico we got to work with a fabulous set called Arabian Paradise

PaperPlay had a theme of Parlez Vous, any langugage but English on your cards so I used the French for Happy Birthday
Paper Cutz wanted to see Stars
Copic Creations wanted to see Red Hair
Crafty Cardmakers wanted to see you "Stamp Something" whether it was rubber or digital
Digi Kitty wanted to see a Frame
The Pink Elephant had a color challenge of Brown, Yellow, Neutral and a color of your choice.
2 Red Bananas also had a color combo of Red, Orange, Yellow and Brown and you had to use 3 of them.
365 Cards Day 247 had an AD inspiration photo
Basic Grey Challenges also had a photo inspiration

I realized now I've added the photo that the color combo's didn't include green but I hope they'll still let me in!LOL
I used the fabulous "Scarlets Letter" dp from Basic Grey which I thought was a little Arabian in theme and worked well with the image. I printed the dancer on Kraft paper to give a coordinating look with the dp. The "Happy Birthday" title is in French as I thought the dancer looked a little Moroccan and they speak French (as well as Arabic) in Morocco. I used a new border punch from Martha Stewart called Eyelet Lace and I love the delicate look it gives.
The butterflies are from a set I bought last Christmas in England.

The dp inside was slit to allow the message mat to slip in.

So run over to My Grafico to see the sketch and give it a go yourself!
