If you haven't been over there before make sure you drop by as every other Wednesday I set a new challenge with a list of 3 "ingredients" that I need to see in your project. As long as you include them all I don't mind if you combine my challenge with any number of others, the more the merrier I say!

Treehouse Stamps - Challenge #41 Thank You

Time for another Treehouse Challenge and this week our featured Team Member is the super sweet Yaneri from Scrapy Crafter Creations
This week she challenged all of us to make "Thank You" cards, something we can all do with having a small stash of.
So we'd love to see what you can do with this theme too!

Paper Garden had a Sketch which I turned a 1/4 turn and I dropped it on top of the sketch from Kl Stampin Scrappin. I never combine sketches but these two worked so I gave it a try.
One Stop wanted Spots and Dots
Paper Play had a Thank You theme
Saturday Spotlight wanted something Slick and I used Glossy Accents on the Umbrella, the Puddle and the Boots
Stampotique have a Spring has Sprung theme
The Cuttlebug Spot were going Digi (and some CB too)

Card Recipe:
Image - Stars and Showers digital collection from Treehouse Stamps
Paper - DCWV Flower Shower and My Minds Eye Summer Song
Die Cuts - Spellbinders
Border Punch - Martha Stewart Around the Page
Ribbon - American Crafts
Medium - Copic Markers
Shine - Glossy Accents
Sentiment - Printed in CK Diva font

Hopefully you can see his "shiny bits" on this close up.
Now we all need to remember to write more Thank You notes so use our challenge as an excuse to get one ready for that time you'll need it next.

Treehouse- Spring Cleaning - Clean And Simple Challenge

Happy Thursday,
Now this week at The Treehouse we have a new challenge that was a real challenge to me.
We want you to make a "Clean and Simple" card which means very few embellishments, fewer layers and an image that can make the card alone.
Now this was a real test for me as I like to add lots of challenges to my card and that usually means lots of "stuff" on the card so to strip it down to the basics really took me out of my comfort zone.
I have Design Team member Neva of Neva's Crafty Cave to thank for this challenge, take a look at her blog to see her style.

Now I couldn't not have challenges so these I think work for this type of card;

Taylored Expressions had a beautiful clean looking sketch
Sassy Susie had an Easter theme
KL Stampin and Scrappin want Buttons
Ooh La La had an Anything Goes theme
Stamp With Fun wanted a Spring card
Rosie Dees also want you to Think Spring
Tanda Teaser wanted Simply Spring
Scrappy Frogs wanted you to "Challenge Yourself" and this certainly was a challenge for me.

Card Recipe:
Image - Joyful BlessingsTreehouse Stamps digi
Embossing folder - Sizzix
Border Punch - Martha Stewart
Buttons - Dress it Up by Jesse James
Medium - Copic Markers
Acrylic flower - Hobby Lobby

I didn't leave the inside blank but it sure is simple ;)

I colored two of the image and popped one on top of the other. I know that doesn't really fit completely with the "Clean and Simple" rule but it's as simple as this "Fussy and Fancy" girls gonna get! LOL
And it really was a super quick card once I decided how to approach it, jst about 20 minutes from start to finish.

I hope you've enjoyed this and don't think I've cleaned up too much, there's sure to be some more "fancy schmancy" on my next card :)
