Treehouse Stamps- Say It With Love- Featured Stamper

Happy Thursday,
Another week has rolled around and it's time for another challenge at Treehouse Stamps
Each week we have a featured stamper from the design team and this time it's ME!

The challenge was "Say It With Love" and I've already made enough Valentines cards this year so I took the theme in another direction.
I decided to use one of the new release digital stamps ( Little Miracles out TODAY!) and make a "Baby Love" card. Also if you've been following my cards for a while you'll know that I LOVE Paper Piecing and I use that technique in this card so it's LOVE times two!

I did use a few other challenges to help me out.

Die Cut Dreams wanted you to Have a Heart
Polkadoodles wanted Paper Piecing
Fun With Shapes want Hearts and Stripes
Kaboodle Doodle wanted Spots and Stripes
Lexi's want Spots or Stripes
Friday Sketchers had a great sketch
Humble Pie had a Love theme
Just Cute Bears wanted Hearts along with a Teddy Bear
Crafty Cardmakers wanted Digital Delights
Stamp With Sarah Kay wanted a Baby Card

This cute little girl was from the Little Miracles set and was printed on to 4 different colored cardstocks and then paper pieced. Afterwards I added highlights with my Copic's for good measure.
I cut and matted her with Quickutz Nesting Circle dies.
The papers are all K&Co from the Itsy Bitsy Baby Girl pad and the sentiment is K&Co too.
The heart border punch is Martha Stewart and I double punched it to make a heart paper lace. Then I added Queen and Co pearls in alternating sizes along it.

Inside is more dp and a message mat.

I hope you can see the paper piecing on this little girl.
I'd love you to join in the challenge at Treehouse Stamps this week!

For The Love of The Game - Challenge 16 for Delightful Sketches

There's a fabulous new challenge at Delightful Sketches at this time we want to see your projects all above Love! I took mine in a little different direction and I'm sure you all know a little boy (or a big boy ;)) who has a "love" for his favorite sport.

I used a few challenges to help me with this one.

Fun With Shapes had the perfect sketch as I knew the circles could be Soccer balls
Paper Make Up had a photo inspiration from which I pulled the colors blue, black and white
Pile It On had a theme of "Enough of the Winter Colors"
365 Cards Day339 had a "Love" theme where they wanted Love in the title of your card
Crafty Anns wanted to see Metallics
My Grafico wanted Metals
Practical Scrappers wanted Die Cuts
Stamping Vacation had their Pick 3 challenge. I chose 1.Image that reminds you of childhood, 2.2 different colored brads, 3. Ribbon to match brad color
ABC were at N is for New and Jamie is a from Wendy's latest release so he's super new

I used the fabulous Soccer Jamie and colored him with Copic's to match the inspiration photo. I really love his long hair! I cut him with a label Nestie.
The dp is from an old DCVW stack.
The border punch is a new design from EK Success and the soccer balls are puffy stickers from Michaels. The patterned brads are Paper Studio.

I added another soccer ball to the mat inside the card.

Here's Jamie, I wonder if he'll score a goal today? LOL

So no matter what your take on Love is be sure to make a card and enter our challenge.

We have a great sponsor Stamp and Create who are offering a $15 gift certificate for the winner.
Come along and join the fun!

La La Lands Guest DT - A Recipe!

Happy Wednesday,
Here comes post #2!
November is racing by and tomorrow it's Thanksgiving!
In honor of all that cooking you'll be doing over at La La Lands we have a recipe for you to use to create your next card! LOL
We'd like to see 3 patterned papers, 2 colors of cardstock (1 can be a neutral), and 1 type of embellishment.

As usual I have a few challenges to work along side this one.
Friday Sketchers gave me the sketch
Three Clovers wanted a Christmas Card with "No Red or Green"
Fun With Shapes wanted an Image of a Gift on your project
Allsorts wanted a Christmas Carol or Christmas Song
Ildi Co also wanted a Christmas Song inspiration

Now although this is a Christmas Card I didn't use a Christmas stamp :)
I used the fabulous Birthday LaLa which I think looks just as good dressed up for Christmas as she does for a birthday. I love stamps that you can get dual use out of and many of the LaLa Lands stamps do that, perfect for stretching your stamping $$!

Inside is more dp and a message mat with a few sparkly rhinestones!

I wonder what Lala has in her box?
Have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow and don't eat too much!
If you have a moment amongst the chaos tomorrow check back for more new cards :)
Katie
