The Pixie Cottage Challenge #33 - Back 2 School

It's another Once Upon A Wednesday at The Pixie Cottage and we have another fabulous sketch from Pam.

The challenge along with the sketch this week is a great one, "Back To School".
If your children haven't already gone back then they will be super soon and it's the perfect time to celebrate the upcoming school year.

The Pixie Cottage Challenge - Green

Happy Wednesday!
It's almost St Patrick's Day so to celebrate the team over at The Pixie Cottage are challenging you to use a little Green in your creations this week!
Also we have a very special surprise for you, we have a FREE digital image by our super artist and team member ArTish that we would love to see you use on your card!
I've used it and it sure is a cute image!
This is the first time we've offered a digital image and it will go in the store after the challenge is over in case you miss it.
Are we looking at going all digi on you? No, of course not, rubber is our first love but customer feedback has led us to know that some of you want the instant gratification and versitility of a digital image. But remember that the image is for your use only, sharing and copying files is stealing so please respect the artists time and skill by keeping the image for yourself. Happy Sunday!
It's time to get back to business with the 1st challenge of 2010 for Pile It On and the theme is Happy New Year! Of course you must combine it with other challenges or else you won't be "Piling It On!"

I found a few to help me this week and the 1st is a brand new challenge blog.

Frosted Designs had an Ink challenge and I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp Tilda
Flutterby wanted to see "New" along with a Fairy, Butterfly or Angel and this Tilda certainly has her Angel Wings showing
Easy Breezy Kewl had a color combo of Soft Suede, Ballet Blue, Whisper White, Kraft and Bravo Burgundy

The dp is a mixture of Paper Studio and Joanns.
The border punch is from Martha Stewart.

The inside is more dp and a ribbon topped message mat.

Here is a close up of Tilda, all decked out for Christmas!
If you still have time before Christmas I'd love to see you over at Cooking It Up With Katie

To celebrate we have a super freebie that you can download just by being a member.
All the details can be found here. Now you may ask why should you join a group to get a freebie? Well there are lots of good reasons. Firstly you'll get to know the members of the Design Team a little more as they join in the fun. You'll see everyone elses work too so you'll get lots of ideas of how to utilize those super cute images.
The image for challenge is

so it's well worth running over to SNR to get it!
And you can also grab

at either PCP or SNR and have some fun with Pippin!

I've added a few challenges along side this one too.
Artful Inkables wnated you to make something you'd never made before. Even though altered paintcans have been around for ages this is the first time I've ever made one.
AI Factory wanted you to alter something.

Esty Inspired wanted you to look at Vivika's Etsy Shop and it was easy to chose Little Gingers as my inspiration.

So just like you I joined the group and downloaded the super sweet gingerbread image and this is what I came up with.

The clear paintcan was Michaels and I used a little dp from the Love Nest stack by My Minds Eye from Hobby Lobby.
The border punch is from Martha Stewart.
I printed one Ginger big for the can and another small for a matching tag, this is one thing I absolutely love about digital images.
Both were colored with Copic's.

I added ribbon to the sides of the handle and a flower on top.
It would be a great gift if filled with candy, cookies or some other sweet treat!
So go and grab your freebie and enter for a chance to win.
