I think you can see the shimmer that the mist gives the image (hard to capture on a photo). This one is very subtle and I sprayed two coats (letting one dry completely before the second) to give the amount of shimmer I needed. There are many on the market and it's worth getting a few different kinds as they all look different when dry.
I hope you liked this cute this Halloween froggy and be sure to be back tomorrow for a super girly card!

Time for a Cool Down - Winter Wonderland Card

It is still getting into the 90's here in Texas and I could really do with a cool down. As the weather channel don't seem to be sending me one I thought I may make my own with a Christmas Card! LOL
This is my 1st Christmas card this year and I really like how it turned out.
The April stamp was actually a Valentines stamp but with a little careful cutting and a Winter color theme I think she works well for this card too.

Challenges:
365 Cards Day 206 - Winter Wonderland Scene
Raise the Bar - Bundle Up
ABC Christmas - T is for Tree

The Pink Elephant - Aqua, DP and any Embellishment
AI Factory - Anything Goes
Charisma - Anything Goes
Moving Along with the Times - To Do List: 2 dps, glitter (in the paper), embossing (I heat embossed the puffy paint)

Card Recipe:
Images - Winter Window and April With Hearts
Paper - My Minds Eye and Basic Grey
Medium - Copic Markers and Airbrush System
Snowflake charms - Making Memories
Puffy Paint - Tulip

I managed to get it to work this morning :)
You can see that I paper pieced Aprils bow and dress and colored the rest of her and the image with Copic's. I airbrushed with W3 and E40 to give a (hopefully) dusk feeling to the image. Then finally I added Puffy Paint to certain areas of the the snow and heated it to pop it up.
I don't know whether April is peeking in at Santa's workshop, going to start caroling but whatever she is doing I think she looks cute and hope you do too.

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #33 - Back 2 School

It's another Once Upon A Wednesday at The Pixie Cottage and we have another fabulous sketch from Pam.
Sadly Pam has had some health issues that have forced her to step down from creating cards for us but she has a lasting legacy here as she created many wonderful sketches and we will continue using them to honor her time with us.

The challenge along with the sketch this week is a great one, "Back To School".
If your children haven't already gone back then they will be super soon and it's the perfect time to celebrate the upcoming school year.

You don't have to use a Pixie Cottage Stamp to enter but if you do have why not try out!
Remember you can use the sketch, the theme or both and can combine our challenge with any others you like!

I hope all your little ones (and bigger ones too) have got over the 1st Day "Gitters" and are back to enjoying learning and being with their friends.
Be sure to use a little of that time you have on your hands (yeah right Mom's?) and come and show us your creations.
