Stampavie dt challenge

I do so love coloring in the Sarah Kay images.
It always takes me back to being a child. In the 70's in England you could collect Sarah Kay stickers in an album. You bought them in packs of 3 (or was it 5?) at the local newsagent (that's a store selling newspapers, magazines, cards and candy to those non-Brits :)) and had a big album that you matched the numbers up with to save them in. All the girls at school collected them too so it was easy to find someone to swap your extras with. I remember filling mine completely and I think my Mum still has it in a box somewhere. So everytime I stamp a SK image it lets me relive a slower, more carefree time in my life.
I loved the sketch for Stampavies 5th challenge and just inked up a stamp and gave it a go.

I used more papers from the wonderful Green Stack ,flowers from the bridal department at Michaels and a sentiment in an epoxy sticker from Cloud 9.

The inside just showcases the wonderful designs on the paper and I made a coordinating envelope.
I hope you like it and didn't mind my short trip down Memory Lane :)

Happy Go Lucky, another challenge card!

It's a short creating day today with end of school stuff but at least I have a card for the latest challenge at Copic Creations
The challenge this time is for coloring clear or white objects. It was great for me as I had just spent the weekend "You Tubing" and had watched the wonderful Suzanne J Dean and her great tutorials including one of whites!
Since getting my I-Pod Touch I'm logging on to You Tube and watching stuff all the time and for a crafter like me that's just wonderful!

I used Suzanne's techniques to help color the clouds on this cute scene. I used the Picnic Tilda and the Butterfly background. I stamped the images on to the Nestie label and got to coloring. I used B000 for the sky and a combo of B000 and BG10 for the edges of the clouds. My favorite part of this Tilda is the hair, I love coloring the long locks :)

The inside is plain but I loved the papers so much that I just had to add them inside.
The dp is Making Memories Chloes Closet, the flowers are Prima and the sentiment is Pebbles.
Have a happy hump day!

Stormy Tuesday and another new card!

I was woken at 4am this morning with thunder and lightning, nothing unusual for Texas but unwelcome in the middle of the night.
The weather continued to rumble as was still threatening at 7am when we all got up.
By 9am it was "throwing it down", a good English phrase for raining heavily and the temps in the house dropped from 80 to 70 so hurray no AC today!
It seems like a happy coincedence as yesterday I used my Tilda in Spring Rain for the first time and that's what I'm sharing today!

I thought I'd share the inside too. I haven't graduated to added stamped images on the inside yet but I do like to coordinate the inners and outers :)

She was quite hard to color, I just couldn't work out shadows on the stripes so I had to sweep over with the blender and leave it at that.
I did this card using the sketch on the super new blog Magnolia-Licious Highlights
The dp are DCWV from The Green Stack which I absolutely love. The papers are all textured and they are 70% recycled so I can feel good about using them. The flowers are the Fairytale collection from Prima, the ribbon is Offray, the border punch is EK Success and the sentiment another $1 bin one from Michaels.
I hope you all have a great and safe day no matter what your weather brings.

Sunny Monday

Hope your week has got off to a great start!
School ends on Thursday here, then my son and husband go off to Scout camp on Sunday and our daughter goes to Choir day camp so I get an extra week, sort of, before the sibling bickering starts :)
To celebrate the wonderful sun shining above me here in TX today I thought I share one of my favorite Tilda's.
I made this a while and know I used a someone's sketch but I can't remember whose it was, sorry!

She was colored with Copics, the dp is Making Memories, the trim is from Wally World and the sentiment is from a $1 set at Michaels.
I'm working on joining in challenges this week so be sure to check back as the sketches on the blogs this week are great!
Have a great Monday!

Entering my first challenge!

I've been following challenge blogs for a while now and while I get ideas from them I haven't submitted anything yet.
Well now I have my own blog I have no excuses anymore for not joining in.
So I'm throwing my card in the ring for the Blonde Hair challenge at Copic Creations

I love these Sarah Kay images and this one was fun to color and I hope you like her too. I used one of my favorite punches, Apron Lace, and tried my hand at a hatpin too!
Hope you have a wonderful SUnday!

A Sweet Saturday

Another busy day in our house but what's new?
My oldest son is helping a Scout with his Eagle project, my husband has just left to run a BB Range and my daughter is off to dinner late at the American Girl store with her Girl Scout troop.
So I'm left here with the little one and his potty training antics!
Ah the joys of Motherhood! LOL
So to get myself in a sweet mood I thought I'd share a little Tilda with Cowberry Muffin card.
This one was created a couple of months ago when I owned less markers and had not sought out every You Tube video and blog tutorial out there.
But I still think she turned out cute.

I love the Martha Stewart lace border punch and this was the perfect time to use it. The mini cupcakes were from a stamp from the dollar spot at Michaels and I cut them out and covered them with Glossy Accents. The DP is Basic Grey and the ribbon is American Crafts.
Hope you have a Sweet Saturday too!

Frantic Friday

Today is a busy day with errands and taking my oldest son to the doctors for a physical and shots but I wanted to post a little message to you all.
I wanted to say a great big Thank You to everyone who left me a comment and for those of you who also chose to follow me! I feel very thankful to have entered a world with such wonderful crafters who take their time to make someone feel good :)
So the card today is dedicated to all of you.
I made him a while ago but he's so cute I wanted to see him again.

This little fellow is from Elzybells and this time I colored him and cut him out and popped him up.
I love these stamps and with the recent new release I feel the urge to go shopping again!
Have a wonderful weekend.

Say hello to the Ladybug :)

This morning I have another bright and cheery Tilda card to share.
For this one I dug into my stash of papers and these I feel sure came from companies no longer with us :(
It seems as though each month I hear of another great company leaving us and I hate using paper that I can never replace.
Oh well at least the papers were cute! LOL
I used my Threading Water border punch, Nestabilities circle and lots of Dew Drops. Actually my dew drops aren't the real thing, they were from the floral dept but they do the same job.
I hope you like her.

A Flutterby you say?

I wanted to share another Tilda card that I made using stamps from the Spring Collection.
SHe is so cute and welcoming and was so much fun to color.
It was the first time I had used a background stamp and to color grass and sky was a little scary but I do like the results and hope you do too.

I just realised that this card can go in the Insect challenge over at Just Magnolia so here I go with another challenge!

Late to the party but here I am :)

It seems that everyone in the world has a blog, a MySpace, a Facebook or a Twitter and although I read them daily I haven't had one myself.
I follow many card making blogs and love to see the new items everyone makes.
So it time for me to dip my toes in the water and get my feet wet :)
I've been scrapbooking for over 10 years but only started making cards in September of 2008. It has become an obsession and I just love to sit and create a mini masterpiece.
I've become a Copic fanatic, an OMS addict and don't ask me about the stamps!
I've been selling on eBay for almost 10 years and so it seemed natural to add cards to my line up. I follow the challenge blogs but have never submitted as I haven't had a blog to link to.
Hopefully that will change now I have a blog too!
I'm going to end this initial post with a card I made just yesterday and I hope you like it as much as I do.

I used my Copics to color this cute image of Tilda by Magnolia and the papers are Making Memories Chloes Closet.
