Cute Daisy May - Texture

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a great weekend.
Thanksgiving will soon be upon us and then Christmas, the weeks are whizzing by, so I'm using all my card making time to get my Christmas cards done.
Today's card for the Cute Daisy May Challenge is no exception.
The Design Team this time had to include different textures in their cards and this one has a lot.
There is the "spikeiness" of the leaves, the layers on the flowers, the ribbon and the metal and the "fluffy" poodle!
I used a few other challenges in this card too.
Midnight Madness gave me the sketch
Cupcake Crafts wanted you to use Digital Images
Everybody Art wanted Distressing
My Time To Craft had the theme of "Tags So Much"
Trimmies had the recipe of 1 ribbon, 1 tag and 1 sentiment
Sassy Susie wanted Christmas
Paper Maniac wanted something retro/vinatge with the option of adding Christmas. Well as this little cutie reminds me of "Lucy" I think that counts as retro, don't you?
Etsy Inspired had a great store to see this time. I chose these wash clothsfrom Allisa Jacobs store reminded me so much of my favorite Eskimo Kisses paper

The dp is Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, I really must make a Christmas card NOT using this collection soon! LOL
The image is from Sheet 60 which has 4 super cute images on it.
I colored her with Copic's and afterwards added White Pearl fabric paint to the dog to make it look like the curly fur on a Poodle.
The border/corner punch is Martha Stewart as well as the leaf punch. The flowers are Prima.

The inside has a small message mat matching the outside mat.

I hope you can see the fur on the Poodle better in this photo.

So more you need to get out all your favorites, add a little textur to a card and enter it at the Cute Daisy May Challenge

A new card for Pile It On!

Happy Sunday!
It's time for another challenge over at Pile It On and this week they want you to use 3 Flowers and 5 Pearls along with combining it with another challenge or challenges!

I've found a few to go with mine.

Magnolia Down Under gave me the sketch (and you need to use a Mgnolia stamp)
Roses on Paper wanted a Christmas card (and you need to use a brand of stamp they sell too, and they sell Maggies!)
Fabs Big Christmas wanted a Wavy Frame
Cute Card Thursday had a theme of "Glitter Me Silly" and although Flower Soft isn't glitter it still gives that shimmer and shine.
Basic Grey Challenges wanted Glitz and Bling (and any BG product)
Frosted Designs wanted you to "Bling It On"
Crafty Calendar had a Weather theme so I chose Snow!
Cupcake Crafts had a "Snow Much Fun" theme
365 Cards Day 259 had the theme of "Imagine This:Snow"
The Secret Crafter had a "Four Seasons" theme so I chose Winter
A Spoon Full Of Sugar wanted you to "Create a Scene"
TCP Tuesday wanted "Any December Holiday"
Design Dollies wanted to see some Distressing

The dp is more of the wonderful Eskimo Kisses by Basic Grey.
I colored the super cute Rowdy Tilda with Copic's and although she seems to be out of stock everywhere I looked for you I'm sure she'll be back in stock soon.
I made the snow from Flower Soft in Polar White. It gives a different look from glitter and in real life it looks like real snow!
The flowers are Brides and the pearl brads are from the wedding collection from Martha Stewart. The sentiment is from Joanns $1 spot. The border punch is Martha Stewart called Triple Dot Scallop. I stamped Tilda on a Label Nestie and stamped another Tilda and popped her on top.

The inside is more dp and a message mat cut with the same Nestie as on the front.

Here you can see the popped up Tilda.

I'd love to see you over at Pile It On!

2 Cards of mine will be at a show!

Happy Friday!
I'm super excited as two of my La La Lands cards will be showing at a stamping show this weekend! It's the Stamp In The Hand show and the cards will be at the Stamp On Over booth so if you are around the Carson CA area be sure to drop by tomorrow or Sunday
As part of my Guest Design Team commitments I had to actually "send" (yes as in leave my hands!) two of my cards to La La Land for the general public to see!
I don't think it will matter that you get a little sneak before hand ;)
I didn't do mega challenges on each but I did pick a sketch for each.

For this one I used Winter Wonderland for the sketch

For this card I used Cutie Sunday for the sketch

I hope you like them and I hope the people at the show do too!

Challenge #5 at Cooking It Up!

Happy Thursday!
Where are the weeks going?
I can't believe we are on Challenge #5 over at Cooking It Up With Katie!
For the last challenge I got 24 entrants and I hope to see more as the weeks go on.

I chose a few challenges to go along with my own.

Bee Crafty had a gorgeous photo inspiration
Digital Tuesday wanted you to send Holiday Wishes
Charisma Cardz had the theme of Merry and Bright
Pals Paperarts had a theme of Christmas Cheer
PaperTake wanted you to use both Digi and Sparkle on your card
365 Cards Day 251 wanted your Dream Duo, your two favorite colors to work with. I've always loved the look of Pink and Green together so this was an easy one :)
Sketch Saturday gave me the sketch
Digi Kitty wanted you to Punch It!
Paper Maniac want you to do something out of your comfort zone. As you'll read further on (and should know if you've been to my blog before) I'm really more a "Cutesy" than "Classic" card maker so to use a non-cute image really was a challenge to me.
Creative Inspirations wanted New or Neglected and the image was brand new, bought as I was actually making the card! LOL
Crazy 4 Challenges wanted an Easel card (my 3rd this week!!)and The Secret Crafter wanted Easel style too.

The recipe this week is:
a. Use a flower. If possible use it in a different way such as folded, as part of the pattern of the paper, embossed into the cardstock
b. Use something clear or see through/reflective. Examples are a Dew Drop, Rhinestone, Acetate, a window, a mirror
c. Choose a sketch from another challenge as your layout. This can be a current or past sketch, just be sure to say/link to it in your post.

It took me ages to chose and image and I printed a few out but as the card progressed I soon realized that cute would not work this time.
I don't have very many "classic" images as I'm quite a new stamper (just a year)so I turned to my favorite source, the digital stamps sites :)
I found this fabulous image at Sketching Stamper and knew right away that it was perfect.
The dp are Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses and the cardstock is Coredinations.
I used the Valentines Lace border punch from Martha Stewart and the flowers are from Brides.
I colored the image with Copic's and I actually changed the color of the Fimo accents (the flower centers were blue) with a Copic too.
There are two ribbons on there, one is hidden next to the punched border.
The sentiment (my favorite Christmas one so far this year) is by Studio G from the $1 spot at Joanns.

I really do love the Easel Style card and highly recommend you have a try at one for a special upcoming card.

I'd love to see what you do with my recipe over at Cooking It Up With Katie!

I got to work with the super cute Skiing Pippin and I hope you like him!

I used fabulous dp from My Minds Eye and Pippin is colored with Copic's.
The punch for the border (just can't see much of it) is Martha Stewart, Deco Fan.
The sentiment is K&Co from their new Christmas collection.

The inside is more of the glittery dp and a message mat.

Pippin looks so happy to be skiing his way to you and I'm sure he'd love to see your creations with the new sketch.

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #3 - A new Sketch

Here's the 3rd and final post for today!
It's time for another new challenge at The Pixie Cottage and this time it's another new sketch.

There are so many wonderful Pixie Cottage stamps to choose from but when I saw this one I just had to use it! It's drawn by the very talented Tish and was an absolute joy to color!

Of course I had add some other challenges along the way :)

Kraftin Kimmie wanted you to Stitch It Up, whether it be real or faux.
Daring Cardmakers wanted to see you Get Krafty and use Kraft paper somewhere on your card
Easy Breezy Kewl had a color combo of Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip, Kraft and Whisper White
Play Along Monday wanted Anything Christmas and so did Jacksonbelle Embellishments and Belli too!
Die Cuts R Us wanted you to "Emboss Something" so I used a new CB folder on the Kraft panel.

It's Rudolph fabulous? You can almost hear him telling Santa of everything that is one his list.
The dp are from My Minds Eye and are embossed and glittered giving an extra depth to the card.
The holly are wooden accents from Hobby Lobby and the ribbon is Michaels.
I used the one of the new Cuttlebug embossing folders on the Kraft panel.
The sentiment is Colorbok.
I added Glossy Accents to Rudolph's nose and Pearl puffy paint to Santa's beard, hat, cuffs and boot tops.
The paint reflected in the gloss on the photo so it looks liked they smudged but in real life all is well :)

The inside is more dp and a message mat.

Here is a better view of the happy pair and you can see no smudges here ;)
It's a great sketch to work with and I'd love to see what you make of it over at The Pixie Cottage

Let's Get Punchy and have your Die Cuts at the Ready!

Here's todays 2nd post!
It's my 2nd week as a guest at La La Lands and this weeks challenge is to use your Punches and Die Cuts.
How more perfect for me could that be?
Also if you are in the Carson CA area this Saturday and Sunday be sure to check out the Stamp in the Hand show where you'll find La La Lands stamps (and examples ) at the Stamp On Over booth.

Of course I had to add more challenges to this super cute card.

Etsy Inspired had a photographer's store for inspiration and I chose the Haystack Series of photos to work with the cute Maya image.
One Stop Challenges wanted a Card for a Child
Saturday Spotlight wanted you to be "Repeatedly Useful" and use an image more than once on a card
Scrap Stamp and Doodle wanted to see "Special Folds" so I did another of my new favorite Easel cards
Charisma Cardz gave me the sketch
Allsorts wanted you to "Bring Out Your Bling!"
Alphabet Challenge wanted to see Decoupage so I stamped and colored two Maya's and decoupaged her.

I chose super sweet Happy Maya for this card and I'm sure she'll bring a smile to anyones face.
I colored her with Copic's and chose a few parts to decoupage to add more depth.
The papers are old from my stash. I used a QK circle to cut out Maya and matted her with a scalloped Nestie.
I used the brand new deep edge garden lattice punch from Martha Stewart and the green "pearls" are from Martha too.
The yellow buttons are from The Paper Studio and the ribbon is Michaels.
I faux stitched at the edges wih a Prismacolor pen.

This is my second easel card this week and I just love how this style of card showcases the wonderful image.

So grab your punches and dies and come and play over at La La Lands!

Time to get Funky!

Happy Wednesday!
It's a triple posting day, be sure to check back later for more new cards.
This week at My Grafico we got to work with a fabulous set called Funky Monkey and this wonderful sketch.

Of course I added a few other challenges too :)
Paper Cutz had a color combo of Green, Blue, Black and White
Trimmies wanted a Celebration card
Scrap and Stamp Saturday wanted Something For the Boys
Dutch Dare had a theme of "Felt Like It" so I used felt flowers as my embellishments
Lili Of The Valley had a recipe challenge of 3 Papers, 2 stamps and I type of embellishment.

The papers are combination of My Minds Eye, Provo Craft and K&Co.
The sentiment is a Studio G from the $1 spot at Michaels.
The flowers are from Hobby Lobby (I think!)
I printed the monkey once on white and once on the blue dp and paper pieced his hat and scarf.

The inside is more of the fabulous dp from MME and a message mat.

I hope to see you playing along with either the sketch challenge or color challenge over at My Grafico
Also remember that they are holding a call for new people to be on the Design Team so why not give it a try?
Also over at My Grafico they have some fabulous new stamp sets for the upcoming Holidays.
